  1. Both will be good planes from what ive seen. however, PMDG systems are spot on. This isnt the first time they have done the 777. Take the engine simulation for example..MD11 looks like all three engines are copy and paste, and parameters match each other. this is not realistic, IRL they have many variables. The 777 has engine simulation that is MUCH more accurate. One example..... My money is on PMDG. We will see about the MD11.
  2. Both are good . The displays and cockpit look are better in the Msfs version due to the better graphics. Systems seem to be just as robust, and accurate on both planes. Of course, 321, 319, and sharklets are avaliable in P3D, So when I want to fly the 321, which is my fav of the bus fam, I load in P3d. In conclusion, i would suggest having both as each has its own value and enjoyment.
  3. Are there any preview videos ?
  4. What IS the range of the DC6 ? Could it make it from JFK-LHR?
  5. RSR- thank you! Its an absolute now... Im hooked on X-Plane and there is no going back!
  6. Yeah, the differences are CLEAR...X-plane seems much more fluid and feels closer to a ' real' plane.
  7. Love the video! I haven't so much as touched FSX since the release of IXEG. I love X plane- very excited for this release
  8. Steve, No need- the plane they modeled this after ( I think ) is on sale for 1.2 million...
  9. Ok, how many pple are now x-plane exclusive. After the IXEG- no way im going to buy the DC6 for any other platform. Im so in love with X plane!
  10. My bet is some sort of EFB will be added to the cockpit, hence the wait on the Cockpit pics. RSR said he was holding something back..
  11. im sure he will surface " soon "
  12. Absoultey the BESt plane to date A2A!! Thank YOU!
  13. Wow!! that's amazing.. Thanks so much for posting that..ok im going to watch it again! DAN- btw, yes I also have a THX certified system..Really impressive.
  14. Dc-6 is about to go in to beta? You mean extended BETA? I m sure it has been in a beta version as I have seen videos that are titled DC-6 BETA . Please clarify so I know if I need to have my head examined. Thanks! Peter
  15. When you see this it means its coming ' soon '. Seriously- wait until RSR gives an update. They are just preparing for a enivitable release, but that doesn't really specifiy a release time frame. A lot can happen with a complicated piece of software...If you change one line of code, it can have an adverse effect on others.
  16. I am about to make a major decision about the future of my FSim experience. Been on FSX ever since It was released. I have every high quality major add-on and I THINK I want to make the switch. Should I switch to 3.1 now, or wait ? Thanks guys
  17. You got my vote-- Right now I just wanna fly a DC-6 !!
  18. I agtee with Kyle and Kevin...This is why I still LOVE and appreciate the MD-11. Its visuals are not the greatest.. but the system modeling is certainly one of the greatest.
  19. I suspect that PMDG is working on it. Inevitably with the major changes P3D made, there will be problems..
  20. Nothing... it doesn't play for me. Do I have to register or anything? Thanks Tom UPDATE: I updated adobe Flash.. all is well now.
  21. Aaron, I have never used twitch.. Can those videos be seen( recorded), or only when they are live? I tried to watch them, but when I hit play nothing seem to happen :-/
  22. Warbirds- You need to have your real name when posting. Now that we have that resolved, yes there will be a FSX version, and was originally built for that platform. But as part of a marketing strategy, I wouldn't expect the fsx version for at least 6- 12 months after the Xplane release.
  23. Jose- I struggled with this too. So ultimatley I decided it would be ridiculoius to pay for the SAME plane twice. There's nothing wrong with FSX. Instead, I will be buying future planes for P3D. IF AND WHEN P3D go 64 bit, and PMDG figures out how to convert, then I will evaluate it.
