nosewheel steering

Featured Replies

Hi Pmdg!I find the rudder/nosewheel control very oversensitive both in the NG and B1900 althuough it

JohannesMake sure you set your deadzone for your rudder/gear axis to min/zero and sensitivity to max in FS.I don't know about the Saitek x45 but for my CH pedals I can chose progressive output which makes the rudder/gear move slowly in the beginning making it possible for finetuning while taxying.Hope it helps,

Johannes,I got a X-45 too...Try to recalibrate it...and make sure sure you have the last software from saitek...It works just fine for me...hoping it will for you too...

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

Mats,I've got the CH Pro pedals and have great difficulty with braking. You mention that you can use progressive output but how does this work? My problem is that take off rolls were extended dramatically with aircraft taking whole runway lengths to takeoff. After calibrating my pedals it seems that the slightest move - even resting feet on the pedals applies the brakes. I get a flicker between the brakes and differential braking on the lower left screen display writing. My stick is Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and my pedals are CH USB. I've tried calibrating the pedals and making an allowance for the centralisation part of the cal but no joy I'm afraid. Do your pedals work OK with brakes?KFD

KFD.I have the CH yoke & pedals. They only problem I ever had was not having enough up elevator for takeoff, eisely fixed by recalibration. With respect to the pedals you need to increase the null zone a bit. My differential brakes apply at aprox. 1/3 the travel and increase proportionatly as I stand on em more. It must be your config/callibration, unless you have a bad set of pedals.Regards

Fritz! Can you define work well? I think mine work well also! :-)The basic "problem" with ground steering/handling that I want to stress has not so much to do with my x45. Of course I have and will tweak things as much as I can, but I had simular "problems" with my MS forcefeedback to. Altough the big problem might be fs2004 there is an intresting differens between the NG and the B1900. Why is the B1900 worse? And another question, am I really the only one with this oppinion?I would also like to say that I really enjoy these two products and the only reason that I started this discussion was that I felt that there was maybe a change to make them even better!!regards Johannes

Buck,Thanks - I've sort of fixed it - By calibrating and adjusting the centre spot by pushing the brakes about 1/3 in before releasing. Does this make sense - its easier to do than explain!!KFD

KDF.I'm from the old school, anything makes sense that works. Thing is with computers in general is that sometimes one can find multiple workarounds for a given problem.Glad your all set. Regards
