Am I missing something basic here about GPS? Can anyone tell me whether the default MS GPS can be displayed in the PMDG Boeings?KD

>Am I missing something basic here about GPS? Can anyone tell>me whether the default MS GPS can be displayed in the PMDG>Boeings?>>KDThere are some topics here that discuss bringing up the Garmin. However, in a REAL NG there is no separate GPS, as the GPS is just one of the many navigation sensors that feed the flight management systems. You might try the tutorials by Fred Clausen and myself (they're on the Precision Manuals Web Site under documentation) and get familiar with the FMC - you'll soon forget about the Garmin.

Timothy,Thanks - I guess I was looking for an easy option! Really must find the time to learn the FMC.KFD

Hopefully PMDG will also make the Terr Button for the map display active for the 8/900 ;-) which will give me the only small thing I missed from the Garmin. But other than that I don't miss anything. Granted it took me a few days to get the hang of programming the FMC, but now that's one part of the PMDG NG I like the most, I often end up spending more time on the ground programming the FMC than actually flying.Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

Yeah same here. I usually fly Adelaide- Melbourne (and return). 55 minute flight with a 30min turn around. Takes about 20mins to programe it.Ryan
