PMDG737 PROBLEM WITH2D PANELS

Featured Replies

I am having problems with 2d panels where the outside view (ie ground/sky) is showing through around the very outside edge of all the 2dpanels. It is only a little but detracts from realism. I have noticed that it only becomes an issue when the AA and Anisotropic filtering are at high levels at low levels there is no problem - so choice I have is low level and lots of jagged edges, or high levels and no jagged edges but can see ground/sky round edge of panels. Does anyone have similar problem/know of a fix as it is driving me mad!ThanksDell P4 3.01mb RamRadeon pro 9800 128mb

Dear philed(?),I doubt that you will get an answer to this question, as I have the same problem and posted a similar question some time ago. This problem is not PMDG specific, as I have experienced it with some (not all) add ons with BMP images for side panel views. So far I have found no solution :(I have noticed that this problem appears in FS9 only (not FS2002), and only in full screen mode (no problems in windowed mode). I suspect also that it has something to do with the graphcs driver (otherwise everyone would be noticing this problem), as well as the resolution of the bitmap image.Sorry that I cannot be more helpful. I wish there was some kind of test I could perform to verify the cause...

GraemeThanks for the reply I think you are right. However, I tried one last thing and rolled back to some old ATI drivers not sure of number but came with my new PC in dec 03 and these have cured the problem! Therefore would seem that older ATI drivers do not have this problem but the newer ATI drivers do.Cheers.Phil
