March 10, 200422 yr We don't need a another Saab (Two is too many!!!!!!)For the PMDG Express Line you should consider a more popular Commuter Aircraft like.......(1) Canadair CL-600 (CRJ-200)(2) Embraer EMB-120(3) DeHavilland DHC-8-400 Dash8 (My favorite, Long and Lean)I am sure the sales of one of these fine aircraft would make PMDG #1 in overall sales (volume)!!!!!!!!!

March 10, 200422 yr How about the Dash 8-100? There are several 300 and 400s available today but not a single realistic Dash 8 100 for Flightsim2004.The only 100 i`ve seen and flown are an AI based one and it`s not very realistic. However, it`s up to PMDG to decide what to do, this is just a suggestion: ) BestsNGdriveroooo i love the 737!
March 10, 200422 yr Why are you putting down such a great bird???:-roll You show me one Saab 340 in circulation that's on the level of PMDG's B1900. Just because you don't care for this aircraft doesn't mean many of us wouldn't like PMDG to do it. I actually would love PMDG to do the Saab 340 seeing that a classic panel designer (Eric Ernest of PIC767 fame) brought this wonderful commuter aircraft to light in FS98 before gracing us with his awesome 767 panel. The Saab 340 is a very attractive aircraft with great lines inside and out, there can never be too many of them. We at least need a full FS2k4 version with all the bells and whistles (VC, Cabin, etc.) I really resent your comments here about this aircraft... :-erksFor those who are taking Flight Factory Simulation's Saab 340 seriously http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com (as a release we can expect in our hands before Xmas of 2004), I would like to remind you to look at the time frame of the promised Learjet 35 updates. We still don't have a VC for that aircraft nor any of the other features that were brought to our attention over a year ago. Look at the proposed Cirrus project and how long that's been on the drawing board. Seeing how long it takes this company to deliver if they deliver at all is not a valid expectation concerning a Saab 340 for FS2k4. This company may get us a Saab for FS2k6 but FS2k4 is a long shot. Not trying to bad mouth FFS but I'm not holding my breath while waiting for any of their releases. Just thought I'd mention this because the statement was made earlier about Saab's in development. PMDG would get a Saab out the door faster than FFS.... March 10, 200422 yr Hey, I'd rather not go on about FFS within the PMDG Forum. However, I take offence to your comment about FFS. Knowing and having work with those fine gentlemen, I can truely say they are first-rate people just like PMDG! There have been factors which have delayed FFS, but I feel they have a strong team, full of talented people with the dedication and drive to produce some truely fantastic work!Sorry PMDG, I thought it had to be said... March 10, 200422 yr No one said the team was bad or anything like that but I've personally been let down too many times by FFS with canceled releases (Lear35 update) and lengthy release dates (Cirrus project). Products that have been on the drawing board for over a year have yet to see the light of day. Me and Fabio already discussed this in the general forums area this morning if you want to go take a look. I wouldn't dought these guys are a great bunch of people but how am I supposed to feel when I'm told the Lear35 will be updated and it never happens??? The Lear35 has been one of my favorite aircraft since FS5, now who FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
March 11, 200422 yr I vote for PMDG to do the Saab, if they ever took the suggestion seriosly to start with. We are all assuming that they did. I started the "vote for Saab" thread long before the FFS announcement was made. I have no animosity toward FFS whatsoever. Their timeline concerns me though. Look at the complexity of a Saab 340 compared to the Cirrus SR20. Look at their list of objectives with regard to systems modelling, including a fully functional FMC!! Now, if the Cirrus has been in the works for what seems like forever, how are we to believe that they can just crank out a complex, turboprop commuter in just a few months. I just can't see the logic there. Time will tell though. PMDG could knock one out in a couple of months though!!!(hint, hint)If not the Saab, then Emb120 or Dornier 328. These 2 have been ignored forever and it's time for somebody to do them, especially the latter! I ride on the Do328 occasionally from KGSP to KCLT, PSA airlines USAirways Express. It's a great plane to ride on, a joy to fly according to a couple of their pilots. I talked to one that was flying 1900D's, for Piedmont Airlines USAEX, I think. He said he would love to fly the Dorniers compared to the Dash8. If not either of these, then the Dash 8-100 would be great as well. I like the PSS Dash, but it's too big for me! CH

March 11, 200422 yr Ok then, show us! I don't doubt your talents, just a little skeptical on the timeframe. I do wish you luck in this endeavor!CH
March 12, 200422 yr When it comes to the CRJ, the just take a look here :Their website:http://www.digital-aviation.de/crjsite/index.htmlScreenshots:http://www.digital-aviation.de/ewpforum/viewtopic.php?t=1659No offence against FeelThere, but I know this guys will do much better. Most of them are also working on the Flight1/Dreamfleet ATR 72-500!!
