  1. The model in general looks better than the default and the HUD/cabin is a nice touch for those of us still on 2020. Issues: For the life of me I can't understand how proper integration of the Avionics didn't happen here. There's some glaring issues (not as many as I was expecting) that I'm sure a modder can fix. Shouldn't be that hard as we have the default bird as reference. Wish I could do it...😔 The issue found on other birds from this developer where the taxi light shows in the cockpit is present but in this case you can turn it off before takeoff and use the landing lights only. There was some windshield anomalies at the payware KPBI but after takeoff and landing at the freeware KFFC I didn't see it again. Bottom line is it's usable which is better than I was expecting. Night lighting is better than default. The flight model and sounds seem to be taken from the default Longitude. If a modder corrected the WT integration I'd say it's worth it if your still on 2020. The only thing that can't be corrected is that taxi light issue.😑
  2. Makes something you can't pass on (if nothing more that the sake of curiosity)...ðŸĪ‘ https://secure.simmarket.com/sim-federation-longitude-with-ghd-2100-hud-msfs2024.phtml
  3. I'd love to get the PimaxAir without the lighthouse option (tired of the grainy look lower resolution compared to monitors of our options today), but it looks like the company can't get things together.😐 The future is small form factor and a more competitive price. That doesn't like it's going to be a reality until sometime after 2027.
  4. Looks like there won't be any live weather injection into the sim until Meteoblue is back online. This only affects those that use default weather. I noticed the website wasn't pulling down any live weather earlier but hoped it didn't affect what the sim could pull down. Looks like it did. Hope the outage doesn't last too long.
  5. I always wondered about this flight. Grew up in San Diego over by Mission Bay, the Clairmont area. If one wanted to tour downtown from the air what would that flight look like with KSAN and North Island right there. Considering the PSA crash I didn't think it was no longer allowed until I visited out there last year and saw a Cessna flying over the bay when I was at Point Carillo (Point Loma). Thanks so much for this as it clears allot of things up for how it's done.ðŸ’Ŋ I'm shocked after the PSA crash no ATC communications are required transitioning the VFR corridor...ðŸŦĪ
  6. Man, glad there's a 2020 version...ðŸ’Ŋ😜
  7. This one needs some modders as this actually could work. I wish SF would quit making the birds many of us want. It would make it easier for the hard pass...ðŸ˜ĩ‍ðŸ’Ŧ
  8. Man this is tempting but this company puts out consistant word not allowed...😖ðŸŦĪ simMarket: CESSNA CITATION LATITUDE MSFS20/24 Almost pushed the button but stopped until a few reviews are out there. I hope this somewhat better than what they've released before but that's the tall ask.
  9. All I know is the last thing I would want is to come back to this crazy world as another human. I need a new experience like coming back as a bird (goose with a large family flying the migration route every year or a crane). I'd love not to have a job or mortgage just flying around with the family eating grass. A time where no humanlike creatures are around to shoot me out of the sky (billions of worlds out there, who knows)... In fact I'll return over and over for that life. I'd be careful of kids saying they were another gender in a past life. To much is being pushed on kids and this would have to be vetted out. See if it maintains until the kid is eighteen years old and of legal age.
  10. I won't by another Caranado aircraft until they either allow editing of their aircraft or remember to off the switch that disables 'AI usable' in the sim. I don't want to see their aircraft all over the ramp killing in sim performance.ðŸ˜Ģ Not sure if this is an issue in 2024 with their products...
  11. Looking forward to this in 2020...ðŸ’Ŋ
  12. It was never a problem until the T182T was released for MSFS and I found that aircraft all over the airport. Tried to create an edit to the marketplace install only to find Carenado is encrypting its files leaving these obvious oversites in place. I had to uninstall the aircraft because of this. Next came the PC24 in which I could stomach the AI because it's not showing up as much but the B390 is over the top with its issues (thrust reversers, performance, AI causing performance issues in MSFS, etc).
  13. I was enjoying it too until I couldn't shut the engines down after the flight and found pulling back the levers kicked in the thrust reversers (it should have killed fuel to the engines). The real bird doesn't have thrust reversers...ðŸ˜ķ Also the ground speed indicator is no where to be found...ðŸŦĪ
  14. It's been said this developer is lacking in everything but the visual department but it's gotten really bad. Not sure on the 2024 side but when I see things like AI popping up for this developer's aircraft when I install them into the sim dragging down in sim performance, performance that is way off for the target aircraft, and the B390 with reverse thrusters modeled for an aircraft that doesn't have them, something is way off. Then this developer has the gall to encrypt its aircraft in the sim where you can't correct some of these issues is insulting. I'm done with buying or installing this developer's aircraft if free. This developer has closed themselves off from direct support, so I thought I'd try one last effort through the official forums to raise awareness with Microsoft that this partner has seriously fallen off ðŸ˜ĩ‍ðŸ’ŦðŸ˜ĢðŸŦĪ: Carenado QA for it's aircraft is non-existent for MSFS2020 - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums It's a shame as visually the aircraft released by Carenado is second to none. We'll see if Microsoft can shake the cobwebs off of this developer or is putting in a ticket a futile effort...😔
  15. You have to specifically tell AI that you're using MSFS or it will give you 2024 settings (I wrote this in the original message).
  16. AI actually looks specifically at what you have and spits out OpenXR/In sim settings based on that. It's amazing, it's takes into account individual hardware and setups. Hadn't really understood the power of until this experience. So moving forward once a headset has had some time on the market (maybe even before then) you can save yourself the headache of constant tweaking. Simply use AI to give you the best settings for the hardware you have.ðŸ’Ŋ I did up the settings on trees and buildings which had no affect on performance...😜 AI gives an amazing baseline.
  17. Just ask Copilot (Microsoft AI) to give you the best setting for your hardware and headset.😉 You have to be specific as to which sim you're using. My headset has never been as fluid as it is now, absolutely amazing.
  18. ðŸ˜ķ You can't start in the cockpit like every other sim out there? Sorry, I'm still on 2020 and stuff like this makes me stay put....ðŸ˜Ģ
  19. Still on 2020.🙃 Not looking forward to learning all the new keyboard commands and fighting with my controller setups. Looks like ATC/AI aircraft isn't improved and because of this (which is a problem in 2020) I relegated myself to corporate jets and GA. Really love that type of VIP flying now as the airliners in the real world are all but Greyhound buses these days, overpacked and full of the craziest people to ever come across. Also I might need to buy another computer to fully enjoy the sim especially in VR.ðŸŦĪ
  20. As I first started reading this I thought you were going to say, 'There are a couple of options that may be pricey, get your real world private or commercial license and you'll have proper traffic to fly in'. After years of these kinds of responses I was sure this was where you were headed.ðŸĪŠ
  21. This is why I gave up airliner flying and use only GA and corporate aircraft in the sim. Never mind real world major airports have turned into nothing more than glorified Greyhound Bus stations aka 'Poop show' (no class, long TSA lines, people flying with pajamas on, fighting, etc), the glory years can still be had with private and GA. That being said, having AI interactions at major airports subpar to what we had in FS9/FSX is a no go for me. This far into Asobo's development of both 2020 and 2024, this should have been address and fully resolved a long time ago.😔 What's amazing is people seem fine with it based on some of these posts above. "There's bigger fish to fry" with 2024 which is one heck of a statement concerning the state of the 2024 a year after release.😐
  22. After playing around with the sim for awhile I think I see what's going on. In the last FS2020 update Asobo must have done a VR update in conjunction with Pimax to address smoothness with the headset. No matter what I do the tree draw distance and blurriness is apparent at around 1,500ft AGL. Higher or lower it's not noticeable but right around that altitude certain areas (like a flat land off in the distance or certain tree line) you can see the tree draw distance and ground texture resolution diminished to a point it can look cartoony (not sure if that's a word, I wasn't flagged with a red underline ðŸĪŠ). There's no way to correct this with in sim or headset settings and because of this I can max out the clouds and other sim settings in VR where I wasn't able to before. Basically, robbing Mary to pay Paul. It's not a showstopper but in some cases it can look glaringly bad. Hopefully this improvement for performance leads to other improvements where this compromise doesn't have to be in play. Sadly, it most likely won't be seen in 2020. 2024 has been a no go for me because the streaming concept doesn't work on my end do to buffer bloat in my fiber optic AT&T line. Others had similar frustrations in their coaxial lines as none of us can attain constant consistent internet speeds, it all fluctuates and for some it's worse than others. So having a streaming sim dependent on that doesn't work for everybody. I digress, I welcome the smooth performance improvements but understand when I see ugliness increase the altitude about 1,000ft.🙃
  23. Held off on fully testing this version until yesterday (all but gave up on VR as the glitchy display hurt my eyes when looking around). I must say every glitch or performance issue I ever had with this headset is now gone.ðŸ˜ķðŸ’Ŋ As a 2020 user this I for the first time was able to crank up my VR display settings a bit and watch fluid performance. Any stuttering or issues is solely on the sim side at this point (and I have little in that department). Pimax now runs better that the G2 ever did. The sim community, Asobo, the various issues some have reported with 2024 I suspect had something to do with this. Also the pressure of being the chosen headset for Microsoft. Hopefully we don't loose anything in updates to follow. Very impressed to say the least.👍
