Hello fellow simmers, and PMDG crew,I have been flying PMDG737 since the second week it came out to the market. I have a framrate issue with your bird, I've always had it. I'm not really sure anymore what this is caused by, my pc, your product or god just hates me. First let me prestent my specs:P4 2.8 800FSBTi4600 1Gig PC3200 Kingston DDRSeagate SATA 120G HDThe PC really seems to be struggling with the 737, the panel textures are loading forever, the airplane in general is loading forever as well right after I click flynow! The outside textures in the spotview are loading very slowly as well. The HD works so hard that it hurts me in my heart :) What amazes me, is the fact that it doesn't happen when I fly your B1900, there must of been something different that you have done while designing the plane, I have no clue. I am not insisting on any changes, fixes etc, I just would like some direction on how to improve the performance of the system under while running your product. If, any of the simmers experienced anything like this in the past.. please let me know what made it better. Thanks and I love your product!!Jacek Gawecki

You have a similar system to me, except for the graphics card. I do believe that short of lowering settings, a new graphics card would put you back on top of the frame rate game.Maybe others would have a different thought but my recollection is that the 4600 just won't cut it anymore for the high end add-ons in FS9. (I had one a while back that got fried when I put my speaker jack into the soundblaster... oh what a day.. I'll never forget that smell and then looking up to see the monitor say NO INPUT)__Josh

I have the same video card as you with a 2100XP AMD at 266 FSB, 512 megs DDR ram and get 25 FPS on the ground. I will say that limiting the CLOUDS and sight (just did this the other day) has made simming very smooth for me in FS2004. Once I set the clouds back up the frame rates plummit. Might not be your issue but was mine so worth messing with ;)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

Jacek, please try the following:Make a copy of your FS9 config file.(Of couse this will for FS9 ;-))Delete the fs9 config file.Start FS9You should see some improvement. You'll then need to reapply any adjustments you made to FS9. This is where the copy of your FS9 config file comes in. Compare the copy to the new config file and edit your new copy to match your previous settings. Also, look for a FS9 config file that has a plain text document icon in the same location as your FS9 config file. It there is one, delete that plain text document icon file. Sometimes FS will create this duplicate. I generally check ever so often and delete this when found.See if that helps any.

The cfg file, not the text. Make sure you back up the old one like Pete said so you can reapply any changes you may have made. Don't know why, but I end up doing this about once every couple of months and it does help.
