Sure, you can fly on VATSIM without voice. You won't want to though. It isn't fun to be typing things to tower while on final approach.A headset can be had for $20. Why not spring for it? It is so much more real to be talking to ATC. These days on VATSIM it seems that 90+% of ATC communications are voice and not text.
