March 25, 200422 yr Hi,Search function did not provide answer. Will new FMC provide procedure turn syntax?
March 25, 200422 yr I am diving into unfamiliar waters with this response....PT are not supported in the real NG FMC. I believe there is functionality to display the PT, but you manually have to fly it (ie with the heading bug). Now with the 8/900 FMC that PMDG is working on, I do not know if they are adding the ability to display PTs, but I think that they aren't.Please correct me if I am wrong.
April 2, 200422 yr I think everyone would have loved to have seen procedure turns displayed on the ND; is it a feature of the 800/900 FMC?Cheers-Paul
April 2, 200422 yr Hi Fred,I think you are quite right. Like all Boeing airplanes, the 737NG FMC (manufactured by Smiths) is capable of storing a procedure turn, and the Navigation Display has the capability to display a Procedure Turn correctly in terms of turn direction. However, only the 45 Best regards, Markus Vitzethum ("ps1flyer")
April 2, 200422 yr It is a fact that the 737NG cannot fly PTs. And not to mention they are somewhat a rare item in the real world. Ask real NG pilot when was the last time he flew a PT and I can say 100% it was never with the FMC.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg Randy J Smith
