March 27, 200422 yr a really great job from the team! Nothing of that quality since the 767 PIC. The Airbus are very poor, all of them till now. But: when i retract the flaps after take off, the Autopilot disengages. Have anyone any answer? (i am using Flaps on the F16Pro Joystick since 10 years without any such problem)Same problem when stabilized on the Glide before landing... you can imagine it becomes a sport to land the baby :-)philippe Strasbourg
March 27, 200422 yr I can honestly say that I haven't had that experience. You might re-check your joystick assignments in FS9.------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. March 27, 200422 yr The B737NG autopilot logic is designed so that the CWS(control wheel steering) is activated should enough pressure be applied to the Yoke in either the X axis or Y axis.In other words, you push the yoke/joystick forward when the AP is engaged(CMD A or :( and the AP switches to Control Steering for Pitch. It's like the Boeing version of Fly by Wire. It's the same for Roll, move the yoke/joystick left or right and the AP switches to Control Wheel Roll mode(dont think that's the exact term). In other words-make sure you dont move the joystick too much. If it still happens, check your Button mappings in FS and reduce the sensitivity level.Hope this helps ;)John http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
March 27, 200422 yr Philippe,I use the CH Products Yoke, and the flap switches for either up or down have never done that. I would check the assignments of the joystick buttons with those that are used by the PMDG 737. Check all those out under the PMDG menu when you load the sim.CheersBobKDEN
