PMDG 737 800 hangs FS9

Featured Replies

Hi PMDG,since I considered too unrealistic and too loud the trim sound, as adviced in the forum, I removed the corresponing objects. As a result, now FS9 hangs everytime I try to adjust the trim. Replacing the three object, the problem disappears. Also the sound of spoilers extention during the descent is too loud, quite realistic but too loud. Can you help me?Andreahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

Andrea-you cannot remove any sound files that the PMDG installer puts in place. You can substitute them with dummy silence files, which will probably do the trick for you, but be aware that we will not support this action if you have problems that arise by it...

Andrea... I've adjusted the volume level of PMDG's trim sounds with Nero Wave Editor. Perhaps you have something similar on your computer?Hope this helps.Cheers.Ian.P.S. In case you were wondering, no, I cannot send you these files due to copyright restrictions. Also, I cannot recommend a db level change. Volume levels are very subjective when you are bombarded with noise from the aircon system. I have recorded real trim sounds, but these trim sounds cannot be isolated from background noise for use in a flightsim.

You don't even have to use Nero. Just right click the file and select Record. The MS sound recorder will open and you can lower the volume from the Effects menu.Chris

Many thanks,MS sound recorder is easier to use and works well with trim sounds, but I do not understand why, after lowering spoiler sound (deployed during flight), the sound level remains the same during flight. Is it PMDG_Spoiler in folder C:ProgrammiMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SoundPmdg737tng ?Andreahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
