May 2, 200422 yr Hello everyone! This is my first post and I have a MAJOR problem;Almost every time I load any 737NG aircraft, I get a blue screen telling me that Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to the system and that a physical memory dump has been completed.A computer restart is then required.Has anyone any ideas of how I can sort this out?I've tried changing the V-RAM settings to 'System Managed' but this hasn't worked so far.Any help with this would be grately appreciated,Regards,Andrew Minckley
May 2, 200422 yr Hi AndrewSorry you are having trouble with your PC. But for us to provide you wiht some kind of help we need to know certain things like, what's your specs; CPU, RAM, video card stuff like that. Also what does the Blue screen tell you? Does it give you a STOP or HALT message any addresses or error codes? The more detailed data you can provide the more likely we can pin-point your problem. Now it's just like fumbeling in the dark. ;-)It sounds like you have your system misconfigured in some way though.Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
May 3, 200422 yr Ok thanks for that.I shall try to get the screen to appear again so I can tell you what it says.As for my system;Windows XP proAMD Athlon XP 3000+ Running @ 2100MHzAsrock K7S8X Motherboard512Mb DDR 333MHz RAM40Gb 7200RPM HDDATI Radeon 9200 256Mb GraphicsRegards,Andrew Minckley
May 3, 200422 yr Andrew,I am having the same problem exactly with BSC, Stop Scr Crash and MS Error reports.Because my fs installation is looking a bit scrappy now my plan of attack will be to completely uninstall all my addons and both fs9 & fs2k2. I will then start from scratch and re-install fs9 then pmdg. If all goes well after a few days, I then can install add-ons one at a time. In each step, I will test for several days, then should a problem occur, I will have a good Idea which addon causes problems. But I'm not sure that addons are the problem, it may be the way fs9 builds config files, for instance, if you change graphics drivers, fs9 makes entries for both the old and the new version and problems will come in bucketloads. So one workaround is in the pmdg support centre and that is simply deleting the fs9 config files, but bcause my scenery folder and other stuff is looking a bit top heavy, I feel I should streamline the whole setup. At the moment, I can run for around 20-30 mins before the system goes down and that is infuriating.
May 3, 200422 yr Ok, I got the error message and this is what it says as regards the technical stuff;VER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUALLater, near the end of the error;STOP: 0X000000D1 (0XF82A3B0A,0X00000002,0X00000000,0XF82A3B0A)cmuda.sys - address F82A3BOA base at F823B0000, Datestamp 3dc24536cmuda.sys - address F82A3BOA base at F823B0000, Datestamp 3dc24536Hope this helps anyone! Thanks,Andrew Minckley
May 3, 200422 yr cmuda.sys is a C-Media audio driverTry updating your sound drivers. If that doesn't help, try changing the DirectX hardware accel. settings: Start->Run, type DXDIAG In DXDIAG go to the Sound tab and reduce the "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" slider
May 3, 200422 yr Ok I'll try it in a few minutes and let you know how I get on.It's intersting that you mention the sound driver because I had the error again since and it said that a driver was to blame, but gave no mentioning of what driver was causing the problems.Cheers,Andrew Minckley
May 3, 200422 yr AndrewLook through this site. It's the Microsoft knowledgebase and I just made a search for "STOP: 0X000000D1". The search function on Internet opens up new worlds for ya. I promise! :-)http://support.microsoft.com/search/defaul...y&srchExtraQry=Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
May 3, 200422 yr What is your PSU and have you been overclocking? I had simmilar problems and it was due to my PSU not being up to the task of my overclock. If you have been overclocking try to back down on your FSB a litlle and run Prime95 to make sure that you are stable. ________________________________________________________________________________ Jeremy 9800X3D OC'd -30 +200MHZ | 64GB CL30 RAM | RTX 5080 | Windows 11 23H2| Bravo Throttle | Alpha Yoke | CH Pedals | Logitech Radio Panel | SmoothTrack | AAO
May 3, 200422 yr No, I havn't overclcoked my PC at all. I'm not certain about the PSU but Im running on an fsb of 400HMz which is apparently right for this CPU.Andrew Minckley
May 3, 200422 yr Even if you are not overclocking if you have added something new your PSU might not be able to handle it, New video card, or sound card it is just an option to look at with your system I would say you should have at the very minimum a good 350 watt PSU if not more. A generic 500 Watt can be worse than a good 350W Antec/Thermaltake PSU. Next time you get a chance take a look at the sticker on your PSU and it should tell you what your supposed to get and then you can go in to your BIOS and check what your MOBO says that you are getting. Make sure your 12V, 5V, and 3.3V are all close to what they are supposed to be. if your 12V is sitting at around 11.5V that can be an indicator. Or it could be just a driver problem like the others have said. I would first verify your drivers then if that dosn't take care of it start to look into your hardware to see if it is up to par with what you should be getting. ________________________________________________________________________________ Jeremy 9800X3D OC'd -30 +200MHZ | 64GB CL30 RAM | RTX 5080 | Windows 11 23H2| Bravo Throttle | Alpha Yoke | CH Pedals | Logitech Radio Panel | SmoothTrack | AAO
May 3, 200422 yr I strongly recommend the Antec 430 watt True Power PSU. It runs pretty quiet and it gives you xxx/amps on each rail. Another words it has no combined power rating, a cheap PSU steals from Peter to pay Paul, the True Power gives seperate rail power functions.Allso the new models give you external power (External HD?) + SATA power leads.Basicly you get what you pay for.Regards
