Loading 2D panel crashes to desktop

Featured Replies

Hi,I have a problem where I can't load the 2D panel. If I do, the 'Loading scenery objects' stays at 0% after pressing the 'Fly now' button and after a couple of seconds I get an error message saying FS9 has crashed.Discussed this problem in another thread some time ago and there was one more user with this problem but I think it's strange if we're the only ones with this problem.Emailed PMDG support and they couldn't reproduce the problem, but hopefully they will still come up with some kind of solution sooner or later. Right now I just wanted to ask one more time if there aren't any other ones with the same problem?

I have had this problem happen once, but then never again, which seems odd! I reset my system and went straight back into FS and did the same settings for the flight and it loaded fine! The only thing I think I may have gone was change the flight number a few times, which meant the aircraft may have loaded a few times?Sorry I could not help

The key here is: "FS works in mysterious ways",If you get the oddity of FS CTD while loading the PMDG try to save a new default flight with one of the default aircrafts at an airport in your time zone. And give the NG another go. Usually chaning this cures the problem.I've had this occuring since FS2002 and on several different add-ons so it's not isolated to the PMDG NG.Hope it hleps,

Feels like I've already tried everything, but I'll give it yet another try. And...in this particular case it actually seems to be PMDG related (see attached screenshot and the Modname in the screenshot)

Thanks anyway Kimberly, maybe worth a try messing around abit with the flight numbers - haven't tried that one actually ;-)

Well you never know! lol
