Importing FS9 FlightPlans to PMDG-737 7/800

Featured Replies

HiI've run the Boeing FMC, but can't remember a thing about it anymore. I WOULD like to know how one imports an FS9 Flight plan to the PMDG-737 FMC. I can't find nothing in the manuals on importing, or creating and importing, whatever.Any help appreciated.Ron McLeod CYEG

1) pick FMC from the main menu2) select INDEX3) NAV4) Flight plan (use next / prev to page through the files)5) press RTE button6) LSK2 (second from top on left) to insert the route7) EXEC the changesWhen all else fails, read the friendly manual!

>>6) LSK2 (second from top on left) to insert the route>7) EXEC the changes>>When all else fails, read the friendly manual! >I read the friendly manual, but as I pointed out, couldn't find the import procedure. In what documentation is it? I searched the available downloadable docs (Advanced tutorial, the FMC documentation) and found nothing under "flight planning," "Import...", etc.Anyway, thanks for the information.Ron McLeod CYEG

Hi Ron,I believe the reference information is on page 19 of the 737NG AOM (600/700) series (08_FMC_73702_06DEC03.pdf).Cheers

>Hi Ron,>>I believe the reference information is on page 19 of the 737NG>AOM (600/700) series (08_FMC_73702_06DEC03.pdf).Thanks again.I loaded one that I created from within the FMC this evening and it worked just fine. Am I right in assuming, however, that the program will NOT import FS9 flight plans? IOW, they must be constructed from within the 737 FMC? I dropped a few into the Flightplans folder in the PMDG folder but 'no joy.' This was the case with Fly! and the PIC 767 (if I'm not mistaken). Meanwhile, back to the docs.,.. ;-)Ron McLeod CYEG

Ron, download a file named "pln2rte.zip" from the library. It converts FS .pln files into .rte files to be used with PMDG. If you use a flightplanning program like FSNavigator you can export the plan right into the 737 flightplans folder.Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard512 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
