May 5, 200422 yr Since installing the 800-900 series, I've had 2 problems. First, the plane has twice climbed to intercept the glide slope. Is this a bug or is it more realistic and I'm doing something wrong?Second, for the second time in a row I've had a situation where after completing one leg of a flight, upon taxiing out for the next segment, I realize that my joy stick is only controlling the number 1 engine. Then, I can not figure out how to get the joystick to control both engines again...Any suggestions?sg
May 6, 200422 yr I have had the same problem with ILS but when I posted it, I was told I was doing something wrong because nobody has posted the problem. But I follow the same procedure as I always have with the 600/700. By the way if you have the 600/700 installed it will now do the same thing climb to catch the top of glidslope. But I posted several days ago with no answer and now my post has gone by by way down the line.Hawk Hunter
May 6, 200422 yr While it is possible to capture the G/S from above or below I doubt the real aircraft does any chasing such as you describe in the PMDG NG. Why you are seeing this I do not know... May 6, 200422 yr You mentioned taxiing, so i think you landed at an airport. Then it is probable that you opened the doors with SHIFT+E, but something went wrong, and just selected one engine.Because using E+n selects the n engine. So to regain control of both engines you should to this:press E, and quickly and in sequence press 1 and 2.This should do when you have such problems.Edit: i've just tried another approach well below the ILS, and it didn't climb.Claudio
May 6, 200422 yr I've had the same problem with the engines, however E+12 doesn't work. E+2 won't even select the #2 engine.. The throttle (on the joystick) still only operates the #1 engine, with no way to recover them both. Autothrottle performs on both engines just fine.I've got another question though; Is there any way to find winds aloft in FS for flight planning?Trevor LoweCYYZ Apron CoordinatorTerminal 3YYZTWCR
May 6, 200422 yr The correct way is:keep E pressed, and in squence (not together) press 1 and then 2.Release E.This (if done fast) should regain control of both engines.I know that sometimes it doesn't work, but apart from restarting FS or changeing plane, it's the only way i know of.Claudio
May 6, 200422 yr Hi,You could delete the E key-assignment all together and get rid of the problem. There is also a re-synch throttles function in the latest FSUIPC if you have the registered one.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
