May 6, 200422 yr Hello PMDG,Firstly I simply am addicted to your planes.Secondly I am addicted to my GoFlight controls. For the most part I have them working with the PMDG 737 series. The MCP is buggy but I have it hit and miss working with Pete Dowson's wonderful keymapping in FSUIPC. However, an invitation to work directly with Doyle at GoFlight has been brought to my attention and my question is will this be entertained by PMDG Support for a possible follow on patch of some sort ? Post from GoFlight Forum follows:" would like to be able to improve our support for PMDG add-ons, as they have some really great planes. I have e-mailed the support department there asking if anyone would like to work with me. Haven't yeard anything yet; it's been about a week. But possibly they are just too busy at the moment. I encourage any of our customers who have PMDG planes to let their support department know -- may just be a priority issue for them; I know that's how we operate here; the "squeaky wheel" principle!Cheers,Doyle "Not trying to beat a dead horse or criticize just am curious as I own both of these fine products and would love a seamless interaction.Regards,
May 6, 200422 yr I second your request Kevin.I have posted on this forum before of my desire to have the two entities come together and work out the bugs. The fact that each party's product elevates the "As Real As It Gets" claim of MS to a believable level, and that each is dependent on the other's product to achieve this goal, should be incentive enough for the two companies to iron out the problems.I have invested over $1800 in GoFlight modules to add to my flying experience, and am disappointed that this has not been resolved and we have no indication that it is being worked on.I find the curious part of all this the fact that before the release of the 800/900 panel, my 600/700 panel was working perfectly with the GoFlight modules. So the problem can be corrected as evident in my positive experience with the 600/700 panel before the update.I hope the problem of crash to desktop when adjusting any of the MCP dials will be worked out soon.Sincerely,Troy S. May 13, 200422 yr I support this proposal, I have all your planes and use a set of 13 GoFlight modules. All of them work fine except the MCP and the RP8. If this could be resolved, the flying experience could be improved dramatically eliminating the need to use the mouse for most of the flight. Thanks to consider this request and congratulations for your excellent planes!
