May 14, 200422 yr Hello,I've a question that maybe sounds strange but when I have a PAX weight of 10636KG (only passenger, without there backs), how much would the cargo weight then be????Thanks,
May 14, 200422 yr 20kg baggage per passenger is the normal, isn't it? [P CLASS=style1] Matthew Murray [/P][P][sPAN CLASS=style1]-|www.precisionmanuals.com|-[bR][/sPAN] http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg[/P]
May 14, 200422 yr Not sure if I understand your question, but one way of producing a cargo (=luggage) weight could be to add the allowable luggage weight to each passenger. Suppose that a standard passenger weighs 70kgs and each pax is allowed 20kgs of luggage. Given your PAX weight above you /Tord Hoppe, Sweden
May 14, 200422 yr Author Yeh thats wat I needed to know, But I readed in a timetable of Air Berling that passenger that more then 28 days on holiday they may take a MAX. of 30Kgs each luggage. Thanks,
May 14, 200422 yr Baggage weights used by airlines for loadsheet purposes are waaay different from luggage allowances.11KG - Domestic13KG - Intra European15KG - Longhaul
May 14, 200422 yr Author Wich airline do you mean??? Air Berlin have there's at max. 20KGs, and 30KGs for long haule.
May 14, 200422 yr Ramon, the passenger checked baggage allowance is usually 20 to 30 kgs. The figures that airlines use for loadsheets are different and are usually a standard weight. These weights are specified by the different regulatory authorities - eg FAA or JAA.
May 15, 200422 yr Ramon, Mark is perfectly correct. Each different regulatory authority will have different standards for airlines to use for passengers. Not only do these standards vary from country to country, they will also vary between aircraft types. Using a standard passenger weight can lead to overload in small aircraft, or underloading in larger aircraft. Consequently, passenger weights will vary in accordance with the capacity of the aircraft. It is these standard passenger weights that are used for your aircraft weight and balance calculations. In Australia the standard passenger weights are defined however the standard baggage weight it not. It is the responsibility of each airlines to decide whether to weigh all baggage or carry out a study and calculate standard weights for hold and cabin baggage. At VOZ Virtual we use a standard weight of 14kg for all checked-in baggage. We have a standard passenger weight which includes an allowance of about 4kg for carry-on baggage. This extract from one of our systems may help you get an understanding of the how the load and trim sheet for a flight may look like.http://www.vozvirtual.org/home/loadcontrol.png
