Pretty "agravating" for the crew involved too I'd say. Why not just treat it as an emergency and carry out a single engine landing?Timhttp://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/h...B_testpilot.jpg
May 16, 200422 yr >Why not just treat it as an>emergency and carry out a single engine landing?>That's what happened to me right now. Engine failure on final to LOWW! Quite exciting.:-eek It was a pretty rough landing.:-roll CheersThomas
May 16, 200422 yr Commercial Member Just to confirm-did this happen to you IN THE AIR, or right after you landed (at touchdown)? Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
May 16, 200422 yr >Just to confirm->>did this happen to you IN THE AIR, or right after you landed>(at touchdown)?Lefteris,it happened in the air about 10 miles before touchdown at LOWW.Maybe it is of some interest for you that this was the first time that I changed the aircraft at the departure airport. I never had an engine failure before. I normaly start by selecting the aircraft, departure, destination and weather and then press "Fly Now".This time I started with the VC and cabin for a walkaround and before programming the FMC I changed the aircraft to the one with 2D panel only.As I was too lazy to take care of the fuel the aircraft was filled up to the top:-roll CheersThomas
