Wing anti-ice switch and cabin lights

Featured Replies

Hi fellow captains, have two questions:1. I've noticed that the wing anti-ice switch is turned off by itself after takeoff, is it supposed to be like that?2. Is there any way you can turn the cabin lights off or at least dim them a bit during nighttime flights? When cruising on a long nighttime flight it feels a bit odd to have that bright light in the cabin during the whole flight.TIA,

Hi RichardRe WAI (Wing Anti-Ice)If you look closely you'll see the WAI lights go to bright at first, this means you have a disagree between the switch and the valve. In this case the valve has closed when you engaged the throttle at some angle. When leaving ground you will also see the switches trip and deactivating WAI. This is all in accordance with the real deal and the trip is due to the performance hit you would suffer on second segment climb with WAI on.Hope it helps,
