May 18, 200422 yr Could someone please tell me if there is a way to update the Standard navdata database with the airways and such, because when I use the VACC flightplan center to file a flightplan I always check it in FS9 flightplanner, but some airways are just replaced aswell as the intersections.
May 18, 200422 yr Commercial Member If you're referring to the actual FS database, no - it's hard coded into the BGL files unfortunately. I hope they change this for FS2006 - that way navdata.at could put out one new file per month that would update the sim's navdata and then all the addons could use that rather than each having it's own navdata...As long as you're using the NG's FMC though, you really shouldn't have to worry about using FS's default navdata/map. May 18, 200422 yr Author I know that too, but I always use the http://fpc.vacc-sag.org/ vacc flightplan center with the newest airways etc. Ofcourse you need the newest AIRAC for that to, and I have that. So no problems for me.
June 16, 200421 yr ....Except when there is a delta between "real world" navaids that the AIRAC cycle picks up.Case in point, try flying over Savannah, GA. The SAV TACAN station not only has moved, but has a new frequency. The AIRAC cycle is correct (thus PMDG FMS is technically correct), but when flight planning, FS9 expects the old geo-position. You'll keep getting calls from ATC tell you to alter course./R,Hawk
