May 27, 200422 yr Hi,Just a technical question : is the performance difference between the winglet and non-winglet version also modelled PMDG's version ? (most notably the fuel consumption)
May 27, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Thomas,Yes, the PMDG winglet and non winglet aircraft reference different performance numbers.Best,VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
May 27, 200422 yr Hi VinIm not sure but in an earlier post (about 3 months ago) someone from PMDG said that there is no difference between the winglets and the non winglets version at the moment. Is this change new (with the 800/900 release) or did I just miss something? If there is a difference between these two versions there should be a difference for the approch reference speed at same weights but I've never noticed anything! :-hmmmCould someone get me up to date? :-rollCheersMartin
May 27, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Martin,Not sure what post you are referring to, but for both the PMDG737ng base package, and the 800/900 Upgrade, the Winglet versions of the aircraft use different airfiles, and different performance numbers. They do in fact behave differently.I'm going to call in the experts to answer the rest of your question.Best,VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
