May 28, 200422 yr .....or do I have to get it from somewhere else?I read people are using the TCAS, and I can see it mentioned on the radio panel, but how do I get it?Is there a button I need to push/check, or is it a separate download from somewhere? Please help this blind old fool.CheersTim

May 28, 200422 yr Joe, please advise the manual name and page number that this information appears in.ThanksTim
May 28, 200422 yr It does not work if you have not purchased the 800-900 upgrade package. If you have bought that then all you do is set the tacas switch to TA/RA and push the TFC button on the range selector button located on the EFIS panel.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. May 28, 200422 yr Thanks Randy.I don't plan on getting the 800/900 upgrade, so it's all a bit sad.Hanging out for the 747 instead...Chris, get out from under the desk, you'll miss out on the group hug.CheersTim
May 28, 200422 yr LOLSeriously, why not get the 800/900?? It's not that much more and well worth the TCAS alone! Tons of new features! - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
May 28, 200422 yr Well, I thought about it, but from what I saw it didn't seem much different.TCAS didn't seem too exciting, certainly not for the $$$'sThe cockpit didn't look any differentI can't imagine it being that much different to flyI didn't see "tons" of new features on the site. Am I missing something really good?I've got a average internet dial-up connection, and I understand it's not available on CDGuess I'll hang out for the 747. I'd jump at an ATR-72 though if I could find one as good as PMDG available on CD.Sorry you missed out on the group hug - it was limited to people who don't put "LOL" on all their posts....Just kidding! Don't get upset. LOL (cringe)
May 29, 200422 yr Hey!! No, the new cockpit and features in the 800/900 package are worth it. The FMC has a bunch of nifty stuff, the cockpit looks much better, you have the new glass or old EFIS style CRTs to choose from. I think it's well worth it, and a big bouns. That's just me.By the way, Flight 1 is getting close to releasing their ATR pretty soon. Maybe a month or two tops. It will have Lee's TCAS and be a nice new commuter for FS9.
