FLAP maneuver speeds for -900

Featured Replies

Dear Captains, any idea where I can get the flap maneuver speeds for the -900.Thanks in advanceGerhard LOWW

The flap extension speeds are on a placard right under the flap lever. Hope that is what you were looking for.Tom

"The flap extension speeds are on a placard right under the flap lever. Hope that is what you were looking for."Please don't rely on these values for setting speeds... Even if you could read the fine print, I believe PMDG only has one placard for all NG types ;-) This was discussed during beta testing, and I recall that having placards for each would have made the download package too big (additional bitmaps would be required).Cheers.Ian.

Well, you can get VREF speeds for the flaps based on gross weight by viewing the Approach page of your FMC if that's what you mean.Nick B.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2

Ian,You are right on the placard being the same on all models, I wasn't aware of that. The placard shown is for the 800/900 series. The 600/700 is the same except for flap setings 15 thru 40 according to the Bulfer manual.These are the settings: 600/700 1 - 250kts 2 - 250 5 - 250 10 - 210 15 - 195 25 - 170 30 - 165 40 - 156 800/900 1 - 250 2 - 250 5 - 25010 - 21015 - 20020 - 19030 - 17540 - 162 Tom

Different carriers have different limitations, for example Continental's, Probably to reduce flap component wear. You will never get an argument from the FAA, when using tighter tolerances than the manufacturer:-) P.S. The circle around the -300 series designator, means round dial, or analog cockpit gauges.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/80707.jpg
