CTD-When Setting Manual Vref - 600/700/800/900

Featured Replies

Captains,I didn't find any reference to this in the forum search, so here goes. After a few months of learning the NG, I have recently been practicing touch and go's, and as a result have had to set V1, Vr, Vref speeds manually. After takeoff and on downwind I set Vref and approximately 5-30secs after setting, I experience a CTD.I have tried removing and reinstalling FS9 with no other add-ons, as well as removing/reinstalling the NG. All to no avail. I have also tried the Seasonal texture workaround as I thought that may have been the cause. I have also tried this with all varients of the NG. If I fly a FMC programmed flight plan I have no problems. So the only common denominator I can find is setting Vref manually via the speed reference selector.Any help or ideas would be appreciated.Regards,Sam

Hi Sam,What are you setting them to? What airport?OTS: Would anyone really try a touch and go in an NG?

I'm guessing they will do touch and go's in an NG, I suppose thats how they do real flight training for new pilots after the simulator time!

I am curious if you have installed the interim update for the 8/900 - this fixes your problem.Best,
