July 5, 200421 yr Hi all, I am currently in a world tour using PDMG 737 CD Version. What is the Shortest route in NM that a 737 would fly for an Airline? When the update for the 737NG is released will we see the improvements in the models using less poligons in the VC and the overhead clickable?I know that once the update is out I will have to run and buy the 800 900 because I don't have it, in order to get those improvements, am I right?I hope the 747 rolls out fast from the Factory... I need it to continue with my trip!!!Thanks for the best AC in FS history.
July 5, 200421 yr Hey Gabriel,1. 145 nm is a short one I know of. (FR EGPK - EIDW)2. Yes3. Correct, the new update is only for people who have bought the 8/900 upgrade.4. The 747 will be a while off yet I'm sure. You can still get around the world with ease in a 737 though.Hope it helps and good luck with your trip :-)Cheers,David
July 5, 200421 yr Thanks David,Gotta get the 800-900 then... If I fly that route of just 145nm will the FMC Calculate a realistic cruise Alt... Hold on let me see it by myself! Thanks.
July 5, 200421 yr HiI was recently on an Alaskan Airlines flight on a 737 700 that only traveled 9? nm from Sitka to Juneau.Danny
July 5, 200421 yr Is that a regular schedule flight?ENBR - ENZV is a real short route flown with the 737NG at times.85NM
July 6, 200421 yr I think EasyJet use the 737NG for Glasgow to Belfast, which is about 80 or 90nm. Belfast has no SIDs so it's MSA for the area (avoiding the city airport) and then turn on course. Almost immediately (at TNT) you are in to the STAR for glasgow. Probably dont hit more than 15,000 enroute.
July 6, 200421 yr Yes, regularly scheduled. Maybe my post wasn't clear about the 9?, thats ninety-something nm.Sorry for the confusionDanny
