July 11, 200421 yr Please correct me immediately if the following statement is incorrect:On the B1900D panel with only extra Jetline 2 gauge there is no Nav/Gps switch, disregarding the one that comes with the jetline radio stack. If that is true, and I am sure that it is, then for some users, including me, (I believe it is to do with your startup flight) when you engage APPR hold then the plane trys to fly you at a random heading yet descending with glideslope into a hill, and nav hold also puts you at a random heading. This is a known issue, to solve this all you need to do is flick that NAV/GPS switch and problem is solved. But it isn't on the panel. I've assigned a hotkey to it, but I don't like to use up my precious keys for trivial things like this. So please could someone put it on the panel.cfg at some point? My apologies if this has been raised before or I am missing the switch or somethign, but I did search the forums and found nothing on it.David Jordan.
July 12, 200421 yr I don't own the B1900D, but I do have something you could try. Try downloading the Service Update on the PMDG website if you haven't already. They enhanced some autopilot and panel features that may help you.Nick B.Continental Airlines 737NG Pilothttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz (Equal to 2.8 ghz)400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2
July 12, 200421 yr I have that already, it's not a bug per se, it's just a missing button on the panel that most people don't need anyway.
July 13, 200421 yr Why don't you just transplant the nav/gps switch from the default B350 somewhere on the B1900 panel?Bob Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
July 13, 200421 yr Because I don't know how to - I'm sure it's pretty easy, which is why I was wanting someone at pmdg to do it, then update the cfgs that can be downloaded from their website. And then I get the benefit of it being put somewhere semi-sensible.I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who needs it.
July 16, 200421 yr I'm gonna keep bumping it...If there is something really stupid that I am doing, please tell me because I don't know about it.For complex reasons, I'm not changing my start up flight.
July 16, 200421 yr Hello David,You are welcome to try out the following edit/modification if you want to. I used FS Panel Studio to insert this switch, just so I could try and give you the switch you are wanting. I don't need it. I don't have Jetline 2. As such, I have not tested this edit. I just made it with Panel Studio and opened up the panel.cfg file to see what it inserted.Make a backup of your 'panel.cfg' file!! Open up the panel.cfg file. Go to the bottom of the {Window00} section. Insert the following as the last gauge in there...--------------------------------gaugeXX=Lear_45!Nav GPS Switch, 692,778,15Change XX to make it the number of your last gauge.--------------------------------For instance, mine looks like this now...{Window00}file=B1900_Panel_Main_1280.bmp size_mm=1280,960window_size_ratio=1.000 position=7visible=1...gauge59=Kingair!Pitch_Trim, 1120,873,32,85gauge60=PMDG_B1900_AP_FACE!PMDG_B1900_AP_FACE, 462,370,245gauge61=ILH_TCAS!Logic, 0,0,1,1gauge62=Lear_45!Nav GPS Switch, 692,778,15Or you might want to make it the second to the last gauge thereby leaving the TCAS Logic as the very last gauge. Just make sure the gauge numbering is correct when you are finished editing. If you wanted to insert this gauge into the VC my guess is that you would need to insert something similar into the {VCockpit02} section. I would have to take extra time and 'play around and test' for that kind of mod. But as far as the VC is concerned you know have something to play with and I'm leaving that up to you.I do hope you made a backup of your panel.cfg file in case something goes wrong or is is incorrect in the edit!Regards and good luck,Jimmy Richards
July 16, 200421 yr Hi David,You're very welcome. I'm glad it's working all good for you. :)Cheers,Jimmy Richards
