July 12, 200421 yr Hello,Could someone tell me how to reject a take off in the PMDG NG? Unfortunately the NG is not reading my throttle position and when I close it to idle it does no override the auto throttle as it should. Maybe in the future PMDG could read the throttle position from FSUIPC much like the PIC A320 so that the auto throttle can be overridden, as in real life. Also, when you have an engine failure and you select an engine by pressing
July 12, 200421 yr Are you "Right-clicking" on the TOGA button? Do you have RTO set? At what speed are you trying to abort? The PMDG is programmed in detail in this area..Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. July 12, 200421 yr RTO is set on the auto brakes. On the FMA "THR HLD" and "TO/GA" display and at around 120knots I close the throttle and nothing happens. I then pressed "F1" to try and close the throttles. However I have no time to turn off the auto throttle. The engines don't hit idle and quickly spool up again.I think it would be great if PMDG could read the throttle position was closed from the joystick, and override the auto throttle. This could be used in descent too, which at present we can't do.Paul
July 12, 200421 yr you can use a key combination for reseting the TO/GA, I use TAB+Q for reseting the TO/GA.
July 13, 200421 yr I use shift-r for engaging and disengaging the autothrottle, it is a default mapping (FS9). If you have to reject a takeoff you can press shift-r, then F1 for idle (will not work with a noisy joystick throttle though). Practise engaging the autothrottle this way and after a few flights you should be able to find it quickly if need be.cheers, Nick
