Hi All,I flew a flight tonight in the 737-900, which was again a pleasure to fly, and noticed that on final approach after setting both NAV radios to the same frequency and clicking both autopilot buttons, I did not get the dual channel mode light in the PFD.I am sure that I have used this before, so is this a known problem or have I missed something obvious.ThanksKeith

Hi Keith,That's normal if you are above 1500 feet which you should be when engaging AP2. Whatch what happens on the PFD when you pass thru 1500 feet ;-)Ulf B

Hi Kieth,The AFDS carries out an integrity check when passing 1500'RA. If this is satisfactory and you have both AP engaged the PFD annunciation will change from SINGLE CH to CMD and so you know you are OK for an Autoland.There is a section on doing this IRL in the Geezer Guide for PMDG.Hope this helps,
