Flight planner for PMDG 737-600

Featured Replies

I am interested in getting opinions on what is the best or recommended flight planner for the subject aircraft. There are quite a few programs to purchase or download as freeware. The planner will be used in conjunction with the PMDG 737-600 FMC.Thanks in advance for your help regarding this question.RegardsEd McComb

I have had great success with FSNav. The PMDG site has the module for converting FSNav flight plans to PMDG NG FMC compatible plans. Works like a charm.------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. The best one to get for what you want is simply FSBUILD.FSNav is a resident program that runs with FS9 and has quite a large CPU cycle 'footprint'. Keep in mind that FSNav was/is essentially a moving map that tries to provide some planning capacity. FSBuild on the other hand, was developed from the ground up as an advanced flight planning tool. This coupled with the fact that it runs prior to starting an FS9 session means more flexibility and more CPU cycles to run FS9I have both, but honestly have not run FSNav in over a year.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

I have to agree with Mike, FSBuild is one of the most advanced flight planners available. It produces excellent flight plans and works with ActiveSky and FSMeteo for wind affect. Produces .pln and .rte plans so both Radar Contact, FS ATC and the PMDG 737 works flawless.CheersBob

Thanks for your help gentlemen, I appreciate it, I know what way to go now.RegardsEd McComb
