August 21, 200421 yr Frontier. They told me, with a wink, not to tell anyone and they wouldn't let me take pictures but it was dark and I'm sure having a flash going off in the cockpit at night isn't a good idea.. so I don't know if they broke the rules for me or just didn't want to get their pic taken :)When I asked them I said I would be happy to let them hog tie me while I was up there.. maybe that helped.
August 21, 200421 yr Well, is not only in USA cause when I returned to my country three month ago I asked to go to the cockpit and the flight attendant said because 9-11. (The flight was from LIRF - LEMD on EC-INT) But once I arrived in Maiquetia, I recognized the pilot of my flight SVMI - SVPR, I saw him in the DVD Aeropostal of world air routes. So when making the line for boarding he invited me to the cockpit, and I was there like almost 1 hour and 30 minutes. He showed me the Waypoints, the ZFW, the total passengers etc... he also tuned a AM radio station !! I asked about wheres the TO/GA of this aircraft? And he said that the aircraft didnt have the TO/GA so I saw that in the FD he put the knob in Speed Command and then he pressed a button near the throtles that its called PALM SWITCHES (equivalent to the TO/GA, he said) and suddenly I felt the aircraft shaking (PARKING brakes set ON) that was just for seconds. its uses on the take offWe trade emails, he said that with his personal camera makes film on take off and landing ,also takes picturesThe aircraft was YV-20CCapt.
