August 25, 200421 yr Commercial Member I seriously doubt it - that wouldn't be a good thing to be in the middle of talking to ATC and suddenly get overridden by the in-flight movie and cocktail announcment... ;) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
August 25, 200421 yr well let me see, hum nope i have never herd the announcements from the cabin crew when i was flying 737 for usairways, but they could make announcements to use and vise versa on the intercom. but i think thats fair after all they canot hear what we are saying on the flightdeck either
August 25, 200421 yr Is the cockpit door, open or closed? Is there lots of ambient noise in the cockpit?Selecting the "PA" receive button on their Audio Control Panels (center console) enables them to hear what's being transimitted on the cabin PA system (prerecorded announcements, attendant announcements, boarding music and chimes for Seat Belt & No Smoking).Cheers.Ian (real engineer!!!!)
August 25, 200421 yr And i think if you dont have your headset on your ears you can hear still through the door.I am not talking about like you would be a passenger but you can still hear them.Well at least thats what happens in the 737-800 Helios Airways cockpit.Maybe they have better ears?Wh knows maybe they are bats..he he.
