September 11, 200421 yr Commercial Member Dear PMDG-TeamFirst let me quote from the PMDG website:> Cockpit Systems - Functionality at the highest accuracy, programmed after engineering schematics to ensure everything behaves like on the real plane > Panel State Loading - From cold and dark to cruising level, the airplane can be loaded to be configured in different setups Those two features sound wonderful and they do have the potential to let do the same things Airlines do in the Full Motion Sim -> Train different failure-scenarios.So first question, will you program more specific failures into the product like a blown tyre or engine stall or hot-start etc.?And if so, will there be a better randomisation? For example for the normal FS flights say I'd like to have three major system malfunctions a month. This would require the PC-Pilot to be always aware of the abnormal procedures, be it a minor thing like loss of GPS signal (where you wouldn't have to take immediate reactions) or a hydraulic-malfunction so suddenly you have to remember the procedure for a zero-flaps approach. In short: Give us the possibility that we DO NOT know what and if something fails. With the 737 when using failures we know what will happen in the next minutes or hour because we have to select it ourselves. It would be so great if this gets further randomised!Thank you very much for reading! And let me express my compliments to PMDG, your products are simply the best, and I mean all of them, from the PMDG-Jet Prezels from the Fly!-Days to the newest MSFS-Releases!Best regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
September 11, 200421 yr Firstly, new JetPretzels will be featured on the 747.Secondly, I can't promise anything yet, but we are working on a failures system. We will announce any progress made here or on our web page.
September 11, 200421 yr Author Commercial Member Thank you Marc for that fast reply. If you say PMDG is working on it then I'm already happy!Oh and thanks about the comments on the failures too...Uh.. clumsy me, the other way around! ;)Markus Markus Burkhard
September 11, 200421 yr No problem...And since it's somewhat of a slow day, I might as well preview our new line of refreshments- PMDG jetPretzels and jetC. September 11, 200421 yr Marc, that is all well and good but this is a 744, pretzels are not enough for the long flights! We need some meals, like engine strike chicken or flattened beef with runway seasoning. Or is PMDG going low cost on us and not offering in flight meals on the trans-oceanic routes? :-lolPhilip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
