September 12, 200421 yr Hi there, with version 1.0 before the recent service upgrade it was possible to fly multiple legs without any flaws. So if you arrived at the destination airport you could 'reverse' the loaded flight plan and return to the departure aiport. Now after installation of the recent service pack there is a weird behaviour after take-off as the system still "thinks" the aircraft is in DESCEND MODE. That means that after take-off there will be warning message: "No VREF seleced" and the CLB and CRZ modes are not accessable, only the DES mode.Is this intened or a bug? How can I clear the FMC so that I can reselect a certain flight, ververse it and fly back to origin without having these problems?___________________________Best Regards,Bodo M
September 13, 200421 yr No reply from the PMDG experts? I have a problem and as a paying customer I like to get a statement from the developers.I remember that PMDG was praised for excellent or even the best support...where is this excellent support?___________________________Best Regards,Bodo M
September 13, 200421 yr Hi Bodo,Well I don't call myself a PMDG expert, but I'll try to help. The strange thing is that I don't get the same problem when I land. I get the message End of Route, as I should, this allows me to then reset or reverse the route. If I could be so bold as to suggest either something is going wrong with the way your route is planned in the FMC or there is a problem with your installation of the aircraft in FS.Nevertheless you should still be able to clear the FMC by deleting the departure airport entry on the RTE page.Could you post a step by step guide as to how you fly your flight and maybe someone will spot something that should be done differently. But I can say its not a bug as I don't have that problem at all.Hope that helps,Ahmed
September 13, 200421 yr Bodo, there's no need to get upset. PMDG consists of people who like to spend a nice weekend like we all do. You posted your question on a Sunday. They are not online 24 hours a day (like some of us;-) ). I'm sure that someone from PMDG will respond.Greetings from ViennaThomas
September 13, 200421 yr Bodo, I understand your frustration of wanting an answer NOW - so I'll try to help. You should not be getting that response from your FMC if everything is programed correctly. Try the PMDG remove tool from the website, then reinstall from scratch. If this doesn't work, try removing the FSUIPC.ini file (or all of the FSUIPC components if you wish), and reinstall that as well.I recently had a problem with my overhead panel and after 3 reinstalls, realised it was FSUIPC giving me grief, not PMDG ;)
September 14, 200421 yr Bodo,NO vref selected message means approach phase. What does trigger early approach phase is having flaps in landing config >= 15 degrees. Can it be you started your took off roll with flaps 15 ?The FMC will revert to pre-flight when GS is < 10 knots.anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
