Asking for Help - When i am on the FMC 'RTE' Screen i type the IACO code of the airport i am departing from (in this case EGLL - (Heathrow)) and click the LSK 1L button (to input this airport into 'origin' and after a few seconds it says 'Not in Database' on the scratchpad. I have all the correct SIDSTARS etc; and this happens on any airport i try to set as origin. Help please __ Alex Hnapikos

Hello Alex,Please check that you have a folder called FMCWP in your main FS2004 folder.Inside this folder (which is not installed by default I believe) you have to create a sub-folder called NavData. Then you download the latest data for PMDG from http://www.navdata.at/ and it should be installed inside the NavData subfolder. After that you will have (almost) every airport in the world.best regards from JerusalemDavid

And when you update the navdata you need to also update the SIDs/STARs/IAPs to the same cycle number. This will avoid problems with not finding runways, for example. This is caused by real world runway number changes from one cycle to another. Get the SIDs/STARs/IAPs at http://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/index.html or the PMDG site.BTW, when you run the navdata install program it will automatically set up the correct folders for you. It will determine where your flight sim is. All you have to do is confirm it's folder.RegardsTerry

I would like to thank you all sincerely for helping me with my problem. Maybe in the future if i know an answer to a problem you may have(i probably won't), i will return the favor. :)________Alex.

AlexI notice you posted on this subject a few times. I,m going by memmory here!I never entered my departure airport on the RTE page.Go to APP/DEP button and press the LSK (right side) for Departure and enter the code there. Allso your dep. runway on that page (DEP Page) then press the LSK next to RTE--->. You airport at that point is allready entered into thr FMC. You can enter a fix, then/or your first waypoint. If you want to fly an airway from your first waypoint to another waypoint it,s easy.Example:VIA direct Waypoint,wicom---->right LSKj160-------------------leftyj10---------------------rightyj70---------------------centrIf you read up on it you will see this works. After you enter the waypoints that you use to enter and exit an airway you will notice in the LEGS pages ALL the waypoint along j160 will automaticaly be entered that fall between lefty and righty, etc. All left side LSK,s are VIA all waypoint go on the right side.I think you entering your Dep. airport in the wrong place, should be DEP/Page.In the above your going from wicom to lefty using high altitude airway j160 which may contain many waypoints in between that will show up on the LEGS pages.Put the CDU switch in Plan Mode and cycle thru the legs Pages and you can travel along your route on the CDU. You can also see if you have any disco,s and correct/eliminate them.BestBuck

Alex.My error, it is the RTE page after all.Sorry about that!Gotta be your navdata, check if you have a double entry in FMCWP/Navdata entry?A few times I ended up with ...fs9/FMCWP/NAVDATA/FMCWP/NAVDATA. The FMC couldn,t see any info.Again soory if I screwed you up.
