PMDG 737-6/700 Updates

Featured Replies

I've heard of the many improvements made to the 737NG series with the upgrade that includes the -800 and -900 aircraft. I am however wondering if PMDG has any updates planned for the -6/700 aircraft alone, which provide the same functionality as the -800/900 release. Thanks, Evan Levesque

To speak further upon what John has said, there are many reasons for this. The 600-700 has been patched to version 1.3 and is very stable, a fine sim unto itself. With the release of FS2004, many new features were availible for the 800-900 developement which could be used only in FS2004. As such, those things could not be used in FS2002 and the 800-900 was strictly developed for FS2004 alone. Other system features were added to the 800-900 that were never planned for the 600-700 package (although certain features WERE added to the 600-700 in the latest 1.3 patch that were not meant for the product either). But the 600-700 was not totally forgotten. As a bonus for those who originaly purchased the 600-700 and upgraded to the 800-900, one could have all the options availble for both products. The 600-700 virtual cockpit now reached the level of the new 800-900 package, the panels were also updated to match, systems, FMC etc. Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
