October 2, 200421 yr I just downloaded and tried out the 737 cabin views with Active Camera. I "walked" to the back and tried looking out the windows. I noticed only the upper part of the engine nacelles visible with no fan - just outer shell, and I couldn't seem to "crouch" down to an out the window view below a standing eye view using the 0 key. Am I doing something wrong? I saw the review of a flight from Brussels to Madeira by Cedric De Keyser and thought the outside views were fantastic. It showed the full engine, wing, etc. How do I get those views? Thanks. Tom
October 2, 200421 yr Tom,I seem to be able to view all moving parts from the cabin.Anyways, about your query on crouching, that and running can only be done when using the external view (which would be pressing X when in VC mode to exit the aircraft)Also to change your viewpoint in the cabin .. simply press and hold the CTRL key while hitting END to get the desired level. And CTRL+HOME would get the oppposite (moving the viewpoint up)Also another nifty combination is CTRL+PGUP /PGDN which tilts the viewpoint up/down.could you perhaps post a screenshot of the problem about the no fan visible?
October 3, 200421 yr Author Terence: Thanks for the quick response to my problem. As I said, I am new to Active Camera and am only trying it in demo mode in the KSEA area per the instructions. I tried again today with the same results and took two snapshots. One is near the passenger window and the other is just outside the plane cabin. It seems as if the plane doesn't exist except for part of the wing and nacelle and a skeleton of the cabin that kind of looks like a mockup at an airshow. Please let me know what you find. Regards, TomP.S. I never attached pictures to a post before. I saved 2 images for you and tried to upload them but I don't think the upload worked. How do I do this? I clicked attachments and followed the instructions, but I don't know what format to use. I know they are BMPs. I clicked on zip and JPEG. How do I convert them from BMP? Thanks.

October 4, 200421 yr I think your're talking about walking around the plane when in VC view using internal view in AC04. The plane on the outside is just a rectangle box with wings and half the engines. I would assume PMDG was trying to keep fps under control in VC view or something. edit: Hmmm I could have sworn I've seen the half of engine shot when in back. Maybe PMDG fixed that in the update or something. When you want to see the cabin from the inside use internal view in AC04. If you want to walk around the outside use external.
October 4, 200421 yr Author Thanks Bill: You're right. I get the "box" fuselage and only half the engine nacelles, and a frame of the cockpit. Being new to this AC04, I expected a full aircraft view. I guess what I'm getting is normal as you said. I have had some problems with external view. When I click on external in the options menu I still can't seem to move forward, etc. I'll experiment some more and see what happens. Thanks for your help. Regards, Tom
