October 5, 200421 yr I'm sorry if this has already been asked before. I was just wondering if the LCD refresh rate slider actually works, I mean can it really go as high as 15 frames or is there some builf-in barrier from fs9 side? I was watching a friend of mine fly it and we played around with it a little while, but we couldn't see much difference.Thanks-Mikkel
October 5, 200421 yr I take mine up to 25fps and it runs at 25. You can definately see the difference its very smooth indeed. You just need to make sure that the sim itself is able to run at that fps. So if you set the LCD refresh rate to 25 but FS can only manage say 15fps on your set up then your LCDs will be at 15.Hope it helpsAhmed
October 5, 200421 yr Same applies for the VC but it only goes up to 15fps. Generally the frame rate takes a huge dip in VC anyway and since it only does 15fps it doesn't really appear that much smoother.Personally I don't really use the VC much so maybe someone else will be better qualified to answer your particular query, but I think what I've said is correct.Ahmed
October 5, 200421 yr I would really like for someone from PMDG to answer this because I really don't see any difference whether we set it on the lowest or highest setting.-Mikkel
October 5, 200421 yr Mikke,Ahmed is right.I assume, you know, that LCD refresh means, how often the B737 LCD gauges (PFD, ND, engine infos) are refreshed? This means the higher the refresh rate of these gauges is, the higher the workload for you computer is. Which can result (in case you do not have a high end system) in a lower over all fps rate, with the effect, that you can't see any difference in the LCD refresh rate itself, but as said, the fps of FS9 will drop.I hope this was understandableWolfgang
October 5, 200421 yr Oh yeah I realize that...it was just that we were sitting at the airport with FPS over 20 but didn't see much difference when we moved the VC slider up or down. We did notice a decrease in the fs9 FPS of course, but not under the 20 something. So it should be able to show the difference between the 2 FPS and 20 FPS the slider is able to go to.-Mikkel
