iFly will beat PMDG in releasing the 737 Max in MSFS
Don't worry guys. In this week's MS/Asobo develper's live stream it was clearly stated by the Asobo devs that MSFS2024 will be fully backwards compatible and that all of your MSFS2020 aircraft can be installed into MSFS2024 straight away and will work just like in MSFS2020.

P3D V2 Master Compatibility List (Closed)
For me the A2A Cub with Accusim works perfectly in p3DV2.1. I did not install it via the exe-file but did a simple copy/paste of all the A2A Piper folders from the FSX-Airplanes folder into the P3D2.1-Airplanes folder and a copy/paste of the A2A folder (= Accusim) from the main FSX folder to the main P3D2.1 folder. As said, this works like a treat in my installation of P3D2.1 Cheers, Wolfgang

Problem with taxiway/runway textures
My reply is a bit late so maybe you have solved the issue in the meantime. I stumbled across this thread, when I was looking for a solution of an issue, which I'm pretty sure is the my very same as yours. At least I found out that the issue is related to the visibility setting. Set the visibility in the weather dialogue to unlimited and and the issue will be gone. The lower the visibility setting is, the closer the border of the 2 different shades of grey will be to you. I'm having this issue with some Orbx airports and I'm currently waiting if the devs there will find a solution. Cheers, Wolfgang

Orbx RV-4 is out
With Supersampling AA you won't get any shimmering with the Orbx Lancair. When the plane came out many graphic cards were not capable of SSAA without a huge performance hit and stuttering. But today the state of the art video cards can handle this like a charm. The Lancair is a very enjoyable plane to fly and I hope the RV-4 will be the same. Wolfgang

spendy add-on
Sonething fishy there! It's not only the price, but the link to their honepage leads you to a general site, the link to their forums is actually the link to a hotel booking site. *lol*Wolfgang

Orbx Nature Flow - simply amazing!
Aargh, come on you heavy guys! Do you never look out the cockpit windows during those endless boring minutes or even hours when being stuck in an endless taxi queue during rush hours at the major airports? Or when standing at the holding point waiting for clearance? It is nice then to see swaying grass or trees, which definitely adds lots to immersion. Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
Let me clarify first, I'm not proud of what I do!This is out of the FSX EULA (as quoted by mgh)"The licensed device is the device on which you use the software. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device."So where does the above say that you are not allowed to have the software installed on more than 1 device? It only says that the device on which you use it is the licensed one and that you may have only one copy of the software on this very device. So no word about multiple installs on different devices. You see, I too am good in nitpicking. Jim, I always highly regarded your contributions to the Avsim forums, but today you are overshooting. I think you are better up focusing on the real pirates.Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
The above brought the following to my mind. You own a family car, but only the father is allowed to drive it. If the wife would like to drive too, the car has to be bought a second time, if the daughter...Sorry, I couldn't resist. Please don't stone me! And no, I'm not a teenager. :(

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
:( Seriously now, off course I haven’t used the 2 rigs simultaneously at the same time! So I also haven’t used the software twice at the same time. Actually I haven’t ever fired up the old rig again after I got everything installed on new one (I still have it though).Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
Nice to see that my last post caused so much feedback!Let me add another one.Imaging buying a music CD, which you are allowed to play only on your hifi in the living room. For playing it in your car or on the CD player in the kitchen you have to buy a second and third license. Now some might say, that's not the same, because you can't play the CD on different players at the same time. Ok, then let put it this way. You have to activate the CD once for playing it in the lounge room, then activate it twice for playing it in the kitchen and activate it a third time for playing it in your car. The you would like to play it in your office, but oops that's not possible any more, because you have only bought 3 activation keys with this CD, a fourth activation is not possible. Your fault, you should have read the EULA!And am I allowed to lend a book (trivia) to friends or give it them after I have read it? Imagine how much business authors, publishers and book stores will loose yb this common practice? The world is not just black and white.Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
Jean Paul, do not underestimate my multi tasking abilities! :( I usually use both systems simultaneously. Flying long hauls with havies at rig 1 and, because this can get very boring sometimes, I fly low and slow GA on rig 2 at the same time! :Big Grin:Isn’t this the main reason for buying new, better systems? :( Cheers Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
Do you ask this in all seriousness??Let me tell you, what the difference is: I have paid for using the software, pirates do not pay for using the software! But I'm pretty sure you know that!Cheers, Wolfgang

You're not getting my MONEY! Buyer Beware!
When I bought my current rig 3 years ago a friend of mine, who runs a small IT business (no hacker) cloned the entire HD of the old rig on which FS (FS9 at that time) was located. The cloned HD was built into the new rig and voila, I then had FS9 twice on 2 different rigs with all the hundreds of GBs of add-ons including dozens of payware products, running on 2 different systems, with exactly the same settings, cfgs etc, without going through the huzzle of reactivation etc. All this was achieved by using legal software (Norton Ghost). So actually activation codes do not protect from piracy or theft at all. Yes, Bill is probably right, it will slow down the process of piracy a bit, but mainly it is a pain in the &@($* of honest customers, especially if activation is limited. Just my 2 cents.WolfgangPS: yes, maybe what I did was against the EULAs of many of the cloned products, but what the heck, I don’t feel guilty, because I only did it for my personal use.

Can't find Service Packs & Patches on the new site
Hi Jean-Paul,I only have purchased the C185F directly from Carenado. The listing of this plane looks exactly as per your screenshot. However there is no orange "Up. Avail." as displayed in the line of your C340, although there always was an update for the C185F on the old website. There is also no "Up. Avail" beside your F33 although there is one available as far as I knowBesides I also have purchased the C185Q, the C205 and the Bonanza F33, but not directly through Carenado but from FSS. I think I have to contact Carenado support directly to ask where I can get the updates for these planes. Bonne nuit, Wolfgang

Can't find Service Packs & Patches on the new site
Ok, I'm now logged in (used my old sign in). I now can see a "patches & updates" button but again this leads to an empty page. I have tried fairly new direct links from other pages to different updates, but all are dead (URL not found error)! So where can I find the patches? In particular I would like to download the SP for my Bonanza F33 and I think there is also a patch available for my C205?Thanks, Wolfgang
