March 3, 201115 yr Is it possible to merge/copy the default FSX B737 VC into the Tinmouse B737-200???And if so, how do I do it?Would love to have a VC in that bird, so please help!Best RegardsPer Ståhle

March 3, 201115 yr I do not know if it is possible, but what sense does it make to merge a (fantastic) 732 with an NG-panel?WolfgangNot much sense maybe but I would also love to see a VC for the Tinmouse model. Preferably an authentic 737-200 one but I guess these things take ages to program. Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. March 3, 201115 yr It's absolutely pointless, since:1. The Tinmouse II 737 is an FS9 native model ported over to FSX. FS9 native models have their interior models embedded into the base model.2. I really don't see the point of having a digital EICAS, a PFD and a newer Sperry autopilot (which is way beyond the 177 models), onboard what seems to be one of the world's oldest airliners still in service. March 3, 201115 yr The one thing I was thinking was the possibility of adding a VC just to provide side views in the 2D.scott s..
March 4, 201115 yr Author Dont care if its "pointless" or not, I dont like 2D panels, and i like to fly from the VC, EVEN if I know its not the "right" standards due to the model of the 737, but I dont care so much about that, not in this case at least... I want to fly from a VC. (that at least "looks" like a 737...) Thats all...P.
March 4, 201115 yr Per,It doesn't seem to be possible to merge the default 738 VC into the Tinmouse, in contrast to the old Project Opensky NG models. The reason is that where the Posky FSX models are really FS9 models that have been exported from GMAX using the FSX SDK (and will therefore work with the native default 738 VC model), the Tinmouse is a native FS9 model exported from GMAX using the FS9 SDK. In practical terms what this means is that with the Posky 736 for example, using the FSX-exported model you get the visible external model and the VC whereas what happens with the Tinmouse is that when you try to merge the FS9 exterior with the FSX VC, both models become invisible, resulting in not being able to see anything of the plane except the 2D panel! So unless Bob Scott plans to provide a FSX-exported 732 model - which I don't think he is as he used old Terry Gaff FS9 models which he stresses have not been updated for FSX - then you seem to be stuck with the 2D panel for the Tinmouse in FSX. The same is true for many other FS9 models which display fine in FSX (e.g. the iFDG A319) but can't be merged with the default FSX VCs because it all becomes invisible.Specifically regarding the Tinmouse; the star of the release is of course the 2D panel itself, and even if the default VC could be used then you would lose pretty much all of the Tinmouse panel functionality by trying to fly it from the VC.The FS9 2D panel side views have been left out of the FSX version panel.cfg (although the bitmaps are there) because they don't seem to display either.;)
March 4, 201115 yr I´ve also heared the our beloved timouse will never get a VC because the original model code has been lost and an integration of a VC won´t work unless a new model has been created. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
