October 9, 200421 yr I just downloaded the new updated to flight sim 2004. Started up flight sim and I receive some error about FSUIPC not recognizing this verison of flight sim and that i need to revert back to version 9.0. I just clicked ok then it gave another warning box about some things may not function without fsuipc. Hit ok again and flight sim crashed. I then dragged the fsuipc.dll file onto my desktop and started fs again. This time it worked like a charm and the game is running SOOOOOOOOO much better. Easily hitting 50-60fps with settings maxed and 100% AI traffic at KSEA. But I don't have the functionality of FSUIPC for my PMDG planes. A quick solution to this would be nice because I want to get back up into the skies with this newly improved version!
October 9, 200421 yr Ms NamelessIf you'd read the installation instructions on the MS download page and/or read the readme text after the installation you should've seen that you need to update your FSUIPC to the latest version 3.40 which can be found here: www.schiratti.com/dowson ;-)Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 9, 200421 yr Author Lol, thanx. I'm one of those guys who just downloads and goes. Doesn't read anything. Can be a time saving strategy but will get you frustrated sometimes. Thanx again...
October 9, 200421 yr Hi,as I know you need to install the actual version of ActiveCameraBEFORE installing FS9 update. Or you will experience CTD.I did not install the FS9 update yet, I just read the installation warnings and I will monitor the forums in order to see how the update interacts with the various addons... Anyone can confirm that warning about ActiveCamera?Constantin
October 9, 200421 yr Constantin,Regarding Active Camera : 1. Install version 2.0 (full or update)2. Install MSFS 9.1 update (if after installation you launch MSFS 9.1 and call any Active Camera function you will encounter a CTD, our module is programmed on basis of non documented FS information - no SDK official data)3. Install Active Camera patch for FS 9.1 (this simply replaces the ActiveCamera2004.dll in the Modules subfolder)Regards,

October 9, 200421 yr the order of installation is irrelavent. The FS V9.1 patch does not touch the Active Camera DLL.The Active Camera patch does not touch the FS V9.1 patch files. However, yes you need the update or you will get CTD.Cheers,Jeff Greth
