Hi All,Most of you PMDG afficionados are anxiously waiting for the release of the PMDG 747-400. In the meantime for those of you who are interested in accurate flight planning you may want to have a look at the links below. The first flight planning tool is called PS1fpln and was written for the Aerowinx B747-400. Its author recently retired from the sim community and made his work available for free and as you can see from the Aerowinx forum http://www.aerowinx.de/forum.cgi/noframes/read/12857 it can be modified at will. PS1fpln is available here: http://www.hoppie.nl/ps1fplan/. I have volunteered with a couple of friends to modify PS1fpln to suit the characteristics of the PMDG 747-400 as soons as we will get enough datas from PMDG.The other interesting add-on also created for PS1 is a takeoff data calculator available here: http://mapage.noos.fr/b744-PS13/cockpit.html (first item on top of the page). I have contacted the author a few days ago about a modified version suitable to the PMDG 747-400.I guess these two applications will make aware future users of the PMDG 747-400 of the complexity of planning accurately a flight for a B747-400. Of course automated applications such as FSbuild will fill the needs of most users but the purpose of pointing out to the links above is encourage serious users to dig into the further details real life dispatchers and pilots are dealing with on a daily basis.Michael
