if you are looking for the best, go for ati x800xt.

ATI X800 XT personal edition.Look out there are X800 XT with only 500/500 bandwith. The real one is 520/560 and mostly personal edition or ISA express. The best card on the market. FPS between 30-140 FPS dependes on addones and scenery.Greates from GermanyKevin

I bought an X800 Pro a while ago and I'm very pleased with it. As far as I found out you won't see much difference between the ATI XT and PRO cards until you're running the sim in very high resolutions. If you for instance like me (and what is recommended by PMDG) run the sim in 1280x960 I don't think the difference in price between the XT and PRO cards equals the difference in performance. When it comes to Nvidias 6800 cards I have no experience but I think they are very close to the X800 cards from ATI. Reason I went for an ATI card was that the demands on your power supply unit are so high when using Nvidias new cards, especially the Ultra card. You need to check that you have a power supply unit that can cope with the card, I don't think you should have less than a 400W true output PSU if you want to make sure not running into any problems.

The ATi x800 XT PE has no match, not yet. This card at stock clocks is a close call with the 6800 Ultra. However the 6800 like most nVidia cards we've seen over the generations always tend to falter at high resolutions and high AA and AF values. When the x800 XT PE is overclocked it would leave any competition in smoke.Get the x800 XT PE ;)The x800 Pro is a no no being compared to the x800 XT and 6800 Ultra, because the x800 Pro has lesser pixel pipelines and u could get better performance at high quality from the other cards mentioned above.

That is correct that the X800 XT is a faster card than the X800 PRO on the paper but that is not always equally true in real life.Like I said in my previous post you will not see much difference in FPS other than if you run your games in very high resolutions. That is especially true in MSFS where there are many, many factors that are involved in what final FPS you will get besides your graphics card - both hardware and software factors.So...if you buy your new graphics card mainly for MSFS and usually don't run it at higher resolutions than 1280 you will not benefit much from spending another $100 on a XT card. Here are a couple of links that will show you this fact:http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1584036,00.asphttp://reviews-zdnet.com.com/ATI_Radeon_X8...6-30871661.htmlBut then again, if money and another $100 isn't a problem sure you should go for a XT card. I personally just have problem justify those extra $100 when I in return will not get more than 1-3 FPS if any at all that is.Hope you'll enjoy your new graphics card which ever you end up with!
