October 25, 200421 yr Im flying this plan:- LIMC ARLES UL153 VADEM UN853 IXILU UL613 RLP UL48 DIDOR UL613 SANDY.ABOT1E EGGWFMC is all set up and ready for flight but when i ask for clearence it says denied IFR flight only.. But i am using a IFR plan right? hardly gonna be VFR just look at the weather lol..LIMC 251950Z VRB01KT 0900 R35R/P1500N R35L/P1500N -RA FG BKN004 BKN020 13/12 Q1017 NOSIGLIMC 251700Z 251803 VRB03KT 1200 -RA BR BKN005 BKN025 TEMPO 1803 0500 -RA FG BKN003 OVC025FL030: 149/02 (15.00) FL060: 187/05 (9.10) FL090: 188/11 (5.80)FL120: 228/38 (-3.20) FL180: 227/48 (-15.80) FL240: 228/54 (-26.80)FL300: 234/52 (-42.70) FL340: 236/52 (-53.50) FL390: 234/55 (-64.20) So never had this problem before, how would i get the ATC to give me taxi clearence seeing as my plan is loaded and ready to go..?Cheers,James.w.
October 25, 200421 yr ATC cannot see any flightplan entered in any of the add-ons available.FS ATC only see's the flightplan in the flight planner. The FS navigational data is way outdated and some of the airways may be differently named so it is probably not even usable. To allow FS ATC to recognise your IFR flight, you can make a similar IFR flightplan, but if ATC asks you to turn, you gotta turn or they will bust your flightplan :(I never used FS ATC, really crap, so I would rather just select VFR and fly the whole route by myself.
October 25, 200421 yr Yeah i sussed it out hehe.. i just exported my fsbuild flightplan to my pmdg and fs2004 and when at LIMC i loaded the FS flightplan from fsbuild and it was close enough to match the FMC plan..Not sure what causes this but... my Legs page had the VNAV info set etc with the speed/altitude but when i engaged AP - LNAV/VNAV my altitudes in the FMC legs page were fluctuating ? any ideas? is this to do with anything major? it was like chasing itself or something.. Didnt do this in Tims tutorials i flew etc it was all stable.. and the Vnav just flew as it was meant to right down to the runway.. Cheers,James.w.
October 29, 200421 yr I have a question too about IFR clearence. When an airport only has a tower how do the pilots get there IFR clearence??Thanks,
October 29, 200421 yr where I fly from, the NW of the US...the local tower can coordinate the clearence with adjacent departure or center controller via land line (dedicated telephone), they in turn can deliver this to you.orthey can coordinate and then simply let you depart, usually with an early freq change to center or app/dep (if you departure airport is near a larger one with these facilities.or they can depart you (possibly with Special VFR) in which case you get your clearance in the air via Center, dep/arr or FSS.It is nice when they work with you though, I have sat at the end of a runway for over 10 min waiting for clearance - engines turning. Often I just let them know if they excpect more than a few minutes, I will shut down in the runup area - work well. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
October 30, 200421 yr THanks Mike,Tell me, what do you fly in REAL??? PPL, VFR or for an airline???Anyway, thanks for your help.
