October 31, 200421 yr >That's not the FMS, it's the EFIS control panel and the>weather data does not work...Nor does the Terrain feature, which is the real one that belongs to that button on the EFIS.Only PM currently supports terrain and weather display.
October 31, 200421 yr Are you sure PM (project magenta, right?) supports TERR and WXR?? Never heard about that nor can I find anything about thison their homepage...The A340 package from Apollosoftware featured a terrain-mode (but the rest of the aircraft was very poor)...Best regards,Stefan Bergert
October 31, 200421 yr Yes Stefan,Snipped from the Products web page of the Boeing glass cokpit8<---snipGlass Cockpit (PFD/ND/EICAS)Modes * Works with default FS Autopilot as well as our FCU * Flight Director Inverted V and Crosshair * Correct FMA * Worldwide Navdata with monthly updates * TCAS Display (FS2002 or via WhazzUp) * Displays FS Flight plans, SBP files and CDU-generated Routes * Terrain Display (EGPWS) * Weather Radar Display * Standby Gauges * Automatic 2 Engine and 4 Engine Support8<---end snipMy emphasizing. Also the demos for these panels comes with limited functionality. At least for the TERR function.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 31, 200421 yr your right... quite interesting (so it seems to be manageable to implement stuff like WXR-radar and TERR!)Thanks,Stefan Bergert
October 31, 200421 yr very interesting indeed...I've seen it on their demo of the 747 display and the terrain feature looks absolutely excellent. Now we just need to add this to the 737 also and I'll be a happy camper. :D
