Hey guys,I'll get straight to the point and hopefully one (or more) of you can help!!! Just now I had a CTD with the following message:The instruction at "0x7c911f6c" referenced memory at "0x656e0052". The memory could not be "read"I know this is NOT a problem with the 737 since its not cropped up before but I was wondering if I could use the wealth of knowledge on this forum for some pointers as to what could have caused it. Hope its a one off. I was running AS2004.5 flying the 738 from EDDF to EGKK just started descent when it happened. It was FS9.1 that crashed not AS.

Just guessing but are you running Windows 2000? I have seen lots of those exact kind of error messages in that OS and never in Win XP.

Nope running XP Pro SP2. I remember them from 2000 too.I didn't post my specs earlier:XP pro SP2FS9.1P4 3.0GHzATI Radeon X6001GB PC3200 (2x512MB interleaved)80GB Seagate SATA HDDNo sweat if no one knows the reason I was just a little confused by it as long as it doesn't crop up again I'll be happy.

Those messages can be generated by the OS or an actual memmery problem.I'v seen it point to both, but not usually at the same time.Google MemTest86. When you get to there site download ver 3.0.You have to unzip the file and install it to a floppy. Just follow the instructions, it's free and about the best you can get for testing your memmery modules. It's a self booting disk that boots your machine into dos. Run it overnight or at least 8 cycles. This way you can be sure, or not, that your actual memmory is OK.Best

Hey,If I remember correctly this problem could also be related to the program trying to access registry settings with inadequate security permissions for that program/user, or maybe a corrupt registry setting? Most likely caused by the O/S. Maybe it's time for the annual reinstall? ;-)Sorry I can't be of more help.Cheers,
