STILL WOBBLING WHEN CRUISING..

Featured Replies

Hi.. Posted here about this a few weeks ago.. I still have the problem.. When cruising in any 737 I have this small banking to the left and right without cause. The bank is never larger than 3-4 degrees but still very noticeable.. I have yawdamper on, everything set by the checklists. Fuel and payload loaded properly. Help! Anyone?

Do you speed up time while cruising? If you do, that's probably why it's wobbling.

Maybe it's caused by Windh? :-)You have my apologies,Frank

Johan,Can you elaborate a little more on the wobbling? Is it constant or only happening from time to time? If so how frequently? Are you using any form of online weather. eg. FS9's own online weather with updates or an addon like ActiveSky?See, I use Active Sky 2004.5 and my NGs bank a little bit as well when changing the active weather station, sometimes even if there is no wind change displayed. seems to have something to do with the way FS9's weather system works. In my case though, the banking is only between 1 and 2 degrees, hardly ever more.In my perception this is caused by not enough/no overlap in weather station coverage so even if you fly a heading of 180 with a strong crosswind of say, 090/45kts, there seems to be a very brief period of zero wind when changing stations, not enough to be picked up by the displays, but enough for the NG to first correct the heading for sudden lack of wind and then again for it being there again.Ok, this is by no means a scientific observation, just what I think is causing it, because for me the "wobbling" only occurs if there is a significant crosswind component. If the crosswind component (regardless of actual wind speed) is in the single digits, I never notice any banking back and forth.Do I make any sense at all? :-)Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

Hi Max.Well the banking occurs pretty frequently. Say that I have level flight for a couple of minutes then a slow bank to the right. The bank occurs slowly for about ten-twenty seconds.. then level flight again and next time a left bank..etc etcI just started using ActiveSky 2004.5 but the problem occured a few flights before I started using it. It occurs no matter the wind conditions or changing in winds (ofcourse I get those crazy yaw moves when the wind shifts angle wich is VERY annoying)So.. Still a mystery... *:-*But thanx for your input.
