November 4, 200421 yr First let me apologize for bringing it up again, because I know this issue was already the topic of an earlier thread, but after 30 minutes of searching for it, to no avail, I gave up.I still have, but only in the 8/900 the problem of the FMC suggesting an OPT CRZ ALT higher than MAX CRZ ALT, e.g. OPT 378 MAX 374. This seems to happen mostly with high ZFWS on longer trips, like on a 11200 nm sector with a full pax load, plus cargo equalling 25 kg (55.1 lbs) of luggage per passenger.I dimly remember Capt Randazzo stating somewhere that OPT should never be more than MAX and somebody else suggesting otherwise.I would certainly appreciate comments of Real world NG drivers about this, a pointer to the earlier thread or any info whether this is a glitch and will be resolved. I also tried to look up the 8/900 Maintenace status board on the PMDG site, but it no longer seems to exist, I'm getting a classic 404 page not found when I click the link.Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
November 8, 200421 yr *bump*Any info on the subject would really be very much appreciated, thanks guys!Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
November 8, 200421 yr Max,I am deeply sorry that I am posting but not giving you info on this. However, I truly agree with you on this. Although I have never run into this problem, it still gives me a hard time to logically accept the fact that a CRZ ALT that is optimal is higher than what the maximum the aircraft can handle...I am awaiting answers as well...Cheers, Balint Nagy
November 8, 200421 yr It's been answered already, it's a bug that will remain so for now. Like anything not completed, a patch if there will be one, will have to wait till after the current project. If there will be a BBJ, this certainly will be addressed but until PMDG annouce this officially it's just wishful thinking. Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. November 9, 200421 yr Thanks Randy,I knew I had seen something about this in the forum, but I just couldn't find it.Good to know, that it's a bug that eventually will be fixed after the rollout of current, and judging from the posts here, most anxiously awaited projects. :-)Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
