November 7, 200421 yr As of yesterday, I'm legally able to fly in Class A airspace (above FL180 in the US), although I doubt I will ever fly anything that will actually get to that altitude :). Got my instrument rating after around 50 hours simulated instrument in a C172 over 6 months and over a year studying the oral and written theory required, and burned just over $10,000 doing so.
