November 8, 200421 yr Sometimes, during taxi but also in the air when flying manual, the throttle stays on full power and does not come back. When just at short final or at the holding point it's not amusing!Frans Dekker / TFF 074
November 9, 200421 yr Hey guys,I am the only one with this problem or is it so common that no one reacts? ;-) Frans Dekker / TFF074
November 9, 200421 yr You did not give very much information to go on for us to give a answer for. What mode were you in? Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/southparkcartmad.gif
I WANT MY 747!
Caution! Not a real pilot, but do play one on TV ;-) Randy J Smith
November 9, 200421 yr Hoi RandyDo you mean mode or mood:-( No, realy, what do you mean by "what mode"? A/P? No not with A/P and also not with A/T (I think)E.g. when I start taxi and push full throttel for a second and pull back again, the throttle of the 737 stays at 100% c.q. full.It causes a lot of damage on the virtual airport I can tell you:) Also when I am on short final and fly by hand and have to correct quickly with a short moment of 100% throttle it occasionally happens.Frans Dekker / TFF074
November 9, 200421 yr Could it be a spike in the calibration of the throttle axis? The reason I write this is that I've had some odd things like that happen to me before not with the throttle but with my rudder, where it would go full right for no reason and by itself, and usually when least desirable. My FS sensitivity settings on the axes were completely messed up.My first suspect is thus the calibration page (actually, the sensitivity settings) for your throttle as mapped by FS9. I'd reset those and if you have the registered copy of FSUIPC, check out what kind of numbers you get in the joystick page.
November 9, 200421 yr Well, I can check that Etienne. On the other hand: it happens occassionaly: e.g. once in 4 differtent sessions. Thanks for the tip.Frans Dekker / TFF074
November 9, 200421 yr Frans,I fly the NG almost every day and have not seen the problem you have described. However, I have a registered copy of FSUIPC and have calibrated everything with it. FSUIPC stops spikes and other "nose" problems.Next thing, how are your axis settings in FS? Are you using a yoke or joystick? I use the CHProducts USB Yoke and Pedals.Hope this helpsBob JohnsonDenver
November 9, 200421 yr Bob,I use the same items. Also the payd version of FSUIPC.I think if it is a matter of calibration you will have the problem always. Agree? I never did any calibration with the FSUIPC. I use a yoke and did calibrate that once.Frans
November 9, 200421 yr Frans,In that case, go into FSUIPC go to the last option "JOYSTICKS" and then move to the page where you can set the calibration of the throttles. Make sure you have also set "stop spiking", see if these fix your problem.Bob
November 10, 200421 yr After a good nightrest:-) : I checked the boxes -Control spike elimination-.What does that do?I also checked Fix control acceleration.Perhaps it has someting to do with it too. Thanks for your suggestions.Frans Dekker / TFF074
