Runway Alignment again

Featured Replies

I didn't get any response from my last post so I'll re-phrase the question.Flying the 737, I was ligned up on 09L at Heathrow for takeoff. When I looked at the central map display the runway graphic was at a slight angle approx 10 degs from my current heading even though my 737 was perfectly aligned with the runway. Is this normal or have I got a setting wrong somewhere. I have installed the latest AIRAC and SID/STAR files. It happens at all airfields.Glen Coyne

Not entirely sure I understand. You are saying that the Map or Navigational display screen in the NG panel (the middle screen showing your flight plan) indicated your aircraft to be NOT inline with the runway graphic (two white lines), however, the plane was perfectly lined up per your looking out the window?I was gonna say AFCAD, but all airfields? Maybe AIRAC. I don't think the SID/STAR files play a part in the actually runway information. Some one on here might know for sure. You could always pose the question in the AIRAC forum, which is on this site. They could tell you right away whether it could be related to that.

Hi Glen,Problem has been identified two days ago and solved the same day. You should download the PMDG Airac again from Navdata. There was a math error in the code. The new PMDG Airac is now perfectly OK.Michael

Thanks for the help with this problem, unfortunatly I had already uninstalled FS9 before reading the replies. I carried out a fresh install, together with 737NG and the latest AIRAC files and now the alignment is back to normal.Glen Coyne
